Their appetites weren’t great, so after a quick dinner, they hurried upstairs.
As Sophie Smith ca out of the bathroom, Asher Land was wrapped in a black robe, looking at her with interest.
"What are you looking at..." She instinctively tightened her robe.
"Can’t I just take a look? After all, you’re pregnant and nothing can happen anyway."
This ti, he was quite self-aware, and hearing him say this, Sophie relaxed her guard as well.
She walked to the bedside and reached to pull down his robe slightly over his left shoulder.
"What do you want to do?" he deliberately acted startled, "Are you trying to take advantage of ?"
Heh, take advantage of him? How dare she?
She waved the bottle of dicine and cotton swabs in her hand, "Applying dicine."
Her touch was exceptionally gentle as she lightly dabbed the dicine on his left shoulder and then put a bandage over it.
She had learned all of this from the Doctor; during that week in the hospital, she was practically his personal little nurse, learning a lot of care techniques, and she learned them very thoroughly.
After applying the dicine, she helped him straighten his robe.
She was very close to him, and the subtle fragrance from her body teased his nose, causing his breath to catch slightly.
However, he had checked, and won shouldn’t have sex during the first three months of pregnancy, so no matter what he wanted, he had to restrain himself.
But three months felt awfully long.
"By the way, Asher Land, can I tell you sothing?" She pondered over it for a while and decided it was necessary to say sothing. After all, since they loved each other now, they should be more open with each other, right?
"What is it?"
"Well, I’m really grateful you forgave my dad, but could you please promise not to put pressure on Hush Sky for the ti being, okay?"
"Why?"
Sure enough, his face darkened considerably upon hearing this.
Christopher Smith now had complete faith in Oliver Johnson. To make Sophie leave Asher Land and be with Oliver Johnson, he even went so far as to cause a scene at the Golden Era Consortium. If Asher Land continued to pressure Hush Sky, Christopher Smith was bound to take even more drastic actions, leaving her caught between her father and the man she loved.
Even though she knew it was very difficult to make Asher Land back down, she really didn’t want to be in a position to choose between two once again.
She hesitated, looking very conflicted.
"Alright, if you don’t want to say, then don’t say it."
Faced with Asher Land’s increasingly good temper, Sophie Smith was at a loss.
She quietly lay in his arms, not daring to move, for fear of touching his wound.
His large hand slid into her robe, caressing her flat belly.
"Asher Land, what are you doing..." His hand felt a bit chilly, and Sophie instinctively wanted to push it away.
"Is the baby behaving? Is it making you uncomfortable?"
They say morning sickness in early pregnancy can be quite severe.
His questions left Sophie a bit stunned, but her heart felt warm.
"Very well-behaved." She smiled softly. Actually, no matter how much the baby in her belly acted up, she could endure it.
"Good, as long as it’s well-behaved." His chin rested on her head, and she could clearly feel the warm breath from above.
"Asher Land, do you prefer a boy or a girl..."
"As long as it’s yours, I like them all."
"Then shall we think of nas for them now?"
"Okay."
