Perhaps that is her deepest and most genuine desire.
When Sophie Smith woke up, Asher Land had already gone to work. After being with him so late last night, it was rare for him to still be able to get up. n’s energy really is much better than won’s.
She lazily got out of bed, went to the bathroom to freshen up. Since she had no scenes today, she didn’t need to go to the set. Thinking about this, she didn’t bother putting on makeup.
Sotis in front of Asher Land, she often went makeup-free. Fortunately, he didn’t mind. Her skin was quite sensitive, and frequent makeup might cause rashes or similar issues.
What she didn’t know was that in Asher Land’s heart, he liked her clean and fresh look.
She tinkered in the bathroom for a long ti and recalled she might not have taken a shower last night, so she decided to take a bath before going to have breakfast.
But when she took off that silk nightgown...
She rembered she wasn’t wearing these panties yesterday. She suspiciously glanced around the bathroom and noticed that the bra and panties she wore yesterday had been changed and set aside.
So...
She flushed, with a slight understanding in her heart.
Damn Asher Land, did he take advantage of her?
...
She had a simple breakfast, sat on the sofa, drank morning tea, and read a magazine.
Suddenly, the phone rang. She looked at the caller ID; it was Edward Harrison.
Sophie thought he must have sothing to say about yesterday’s incident.
She answered the call, trying to sound relaxed.
"Edward, what’s up so early? Looking for ?"
"Little Sophie, I wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday..."
"It’s okay, Edward, it’s not your fault." Sophie interrupted him, "I an, Isabella Yates was indeed wrong yesterday. She shouldn’t have hit you!"
She wasn’t trying to express her grievances, but rather feeling unjust for Isabella slapping him.
This Little Sophie is the one he’s most familiar with.
It was probably back in elentary school. He was quite good at studies, always top in the class, but once suddenly exploded and got first in the whole school. Jealous classmates discussed him behind his back, and Sophie couldn’t stand it. She ran directly to the boy gossiping and tore up his exam paper without blinking,...
And in senior high, during the busiest ti with studies, many female classmates would openly and secretly pass love letters to Edward. Afraid of disturbing his studies, Sophie acted as the ’protector’, intercepting all those love letters and quietly destroying them. He wasn’t unaware, but he liked her doing that.
...
There are countless stories between them, tales of childhood sweethearts.
Only now...
Edward sighed and his thoughts returned.
"Did he say anything last night?"
"Who? Say what?"
She didn’t respond imdiately.
"President Land, did he say how he was going to deal with Isabella? After all, Isabella offended that man."
"Oh, ..." Sophie felt a little bitter inside for so reason. "You don’t need to worry. He has too many things to handle every day. He wouldn’t bother with such small matters," she said calmly.
"Hmm, that’s good." Edward sighed in relief.
Sophie knew he was definitely afraid Isabella might get hurt, which was why he had called her.
Thinking about this, she felt a bitterness in her heart.
