"Here’s the thing, Miss Smith, if you want to stay here, we wouldn’t be comfortable chasing you out, otherwise Asher would throw a fit." Alia Williams maintained a feigned, hypocritical smile on her face, "But you know, Uncle Land is already discussing Asher’s marriage to Irene with Mr. Morton, so it’s only right for Irene to move into the East Garden."
Sophie Smith turned pale; she understood what Alia Williams ant.
"Don’t you need to ask Asher Land’s opinion..."
She spoke without much confidence.
"Ask Brother Asher?" Irene Morton sneered, "Miss Smith, you’re quite sothing. Are you taking advantage of Brother Asher’s slight favor towards you to push your luck?"
Irene Morton knew Asher Land would never agree to let her stay with them, but what did it matter? The entire Land Family agreed, Sophie Smith had Asher Land backing her, but Irene had Nathan Land and the entire Morton Clan Group, so what could Sophie use to fight or compete with her?
"Yes, Miss Smith, don’t push your luck. Irene is Asher’s fiancée, she doesn’t mind you staying here, so you shouldn’t say much more." Alia Williams finished and then instructed the servants to be quick in tidying up for Irene.
Sophie found it sowhat amusing. So what now? What is this situation?
Does she have to beco like one of those palace resentful won from ancient tis, plotting against Irene to win a man?
What kind of lodramatic show is this?
Irene’s luggage was quickly packed. Though the servants all regarded her as the future Young Madam Land, since Asher Land hadn’t given the nod, they didn’t dare to move Irene’s personal belongings to Asher Land’s room. If Asher Land found out, they might be in huge trouble.
Sophie tried her best to remain calm, though she couldn’t stay in this place for a minute longer.
In the evening, Asher Land and Luke Land returned together. Seeing the two won in the living room, they exchanged glances, surprised.
Irene was dressed casually, her sexy sheer nightgown barely covering her body, her long and straight legs were highly seductive.
Luke Land coughed awkwardly.
"Brother Asher." Irene walked up, holding onto Asher Land’s arm, her chest almost pressed against him.
Asher Land’s gaze fell on Sophie, seemingly looking for confirmation, but Sophie ignored him and turned her head away, refusing to look at him.
"What’s going on?" Asher Land casually responded, removing Irene’s hand from him.
"Uncle Land said I should stay in the East Garden, so..."
Asher Land’s face instantly darkened, what the hell did they an? His woman was still here, and they shoved Irene over, deliberately making things difficult for him?
"The old Land residence has so many houses; living in any of them would be better than here." Asher Land cleared his throat and said.
"Why? I just want to stay with you, Brother Asher. No matter how good other places are, I don’t want to stay there." Irene again held his arm and pouted, acting coy.
"Every ti I ca to the Land Family before, didn’t I always stay with you? Why can’t I now?"
Indeed, Irene used to often stay at the Land Family when she was little, and she’d always clamor to sleep together with him. However, she was just a little girl then, and he didn’t mind. Now that his woman was here, how could he let Irene stay?
