Sophie Smith carefully scrutinized the woman selling alcohol in front of her, no, she should say the girl.
The girl had a delicate face, shoulder-length short hair tied into a high ponytail, and clear, bright large eyes. Judging by her appearance, she should be around eighteen or nineteen years old.
The girl had an Eastern face; she was indeed a newcor to this bar, having only started selling alcohol here two days ago. Naturally timid, seeing as most of the bar patrons were Western n, she felt sowhat shy and didn’t dare to approach. But unintentionally, she noticed a group of sophisticated Eastern n sitting together and mustered the courage to walk over.
"Gentlen, would you like to buy so alcohol?"
To be honest, Sophie Smith thought the girl in front of her was too naive. If a bottle of wine could be sold with just such a simple sentence, then this business was far too easy.
Luke Land, accustod to romantic escapades, found himself inexplicably intrigued by the sudden appearance of such an innocent young woman.
"Want to sell alcohol? Why not accompany us for a few drinks first." Luke Land picked up a bottle and poured the wine into a goblet, then handed it to her.
The girl looked at the slowly filled glass, her eyes sowhat innocent.
"I, I don’t really know how to drink."
"Haha..." Luke Land seed to hear an amusing joke, "Mr. Davis, your bar certainly picks interesting people. A barmaid who can’t drink?"
Nolan Davis’s expression darkened slightly, his face cold as he looked at the girl.
"Second Young Master Land asked you to drink, so drink!"
Perhaps the aura of this group was simply too powerful, the girl had no choice but to take the wine glass.
She initially took a small sip, but seeing Nolan Davis and Luke Land’s impatient gazes falling on her, she feared she might offend them. Resolutely, she closed her eyes, gritted her teeth, and downed the large glass in one go.
"Cough, cough..." She drank too quickly and couldn’t stop coughing, her eyes reddening, tears involuntarily squeezed from the strong liquor.
"Well, not bad at all." Luke Land remarked appreciatively, pouring another glass.
"Co, drink a glass and I’ll buy a case from you."
The girl looked incredulously at Luke Land—drink a glass and sell a case?
Though she didn’t know how to drink, the tempting transaction indeed moved her.
Her small hand hesitated slightly as she took the glass from him.
"What are you dawdling for? If you don’t drink, then get lost!"
Luke Land sat on the sofa, holding a beauty with one arm, his gaze disdainful.
The girl dared not hesitate further, tipped her head and drained it again.
"Once you’ve finished, pour yourself more!"
Luke Land seed to rember sothing, called over the bar manager, whispered a few words, and soon the manager brought him what he wanted.
Luke Land took the glass from the girl’s hand and dropped so white powder into it.
The girl didn’t understand, only looked at him pitifully.
"This cup is worth ten cases of wine." Luke Land said with deeper aning.
Nolan Davis suddenly burst into laughter, "Young Master Land, you really know how to play."
Actually asking the bar manager for that secret stuff?
Late awareness dawned on the girl, she seed to understand what was happening and desperately shook her head.
"I, I won’t drink anymore, I already had two glasses. You, you can just buy two cases of wine from ." The girl said frantically.
"Not going to drink?" Luke Land sneered, "At this point, you don’t have a choice anymore."
