The girl was sowhat fearful. It had not been long since he kindly saved her, so why was his attitude now so distant?

Asher Land said a few words to Robert Williams nearby, and Robert responded, walked to the girl, pulled out a thick stack of cash from his wallet, and placed it in her hands.

"Let’s go, stop looking, let’s go upstairs."
Sophie initially didn’t react, and Asher, seeing her like this, was about to bend over, subconsciously wanting to carry her. But he suddenly rembered that he was now a man with a disabled left hand, and his half-bent body suddenly straightened, the self-deprecating smile on his lips becoming more pronounced.
He silently walked upstairs, and Sophie saw his sudden mood drop, naturally feeling unpleasant herself.
As soon as they were upstairs, she eagerly began to take care of him.
She took off his jacket and hung it on the coat rack, then went to unbutton his shirt, unbuttoning them one by one.
"Go take a bath first, I’ll help you." Her small hands moved down, about to unfasten his belt.
His large hand suddenly stopped her next action.
"I really live like a cripple now, don’t I?" His gaze was cold, and his voice was deeply unsettling.
Sophie was taken aback. Even though he sotis appeared indifferent on the surface, she knew well about this man’s inner pride and self-esteem.
"Asher Land, don’t you usually like it when I help you undress, help you bathe? What’s wrong with you today?" She deliberately used a cheerful tone, ignoring his resistance, and continued to unfasten his belt.
