"Stop crying." Nolan Davis handed her a tissue, "With you like this, others will think I’m bullying a little girl."
He was ten years older than her, which made her seem like a little girl in front of him.
"I’m not a little girl; I’m already a mother." Sophie Smith reined in her sadness. She didn’t want to cry in front of him; it would be so humiliating.
"Mr. Davis, can you let see Alexander now?" Yesterday, when she arrived at the Davis Family, she brought it up with Nolan Davis, but he didn’t give her a straightforward answer.
Thinking about it, since Alexander was born, they hadn’t spent much ti together.
This ti, Nolan Davis didn’t refuse her request and instructed the maid to bring the child over.
Before the child was brought over, a crisp cry echoed through first.
"Alexander..." She hurried upstairs, took the child from the maid’s hands. Seeing that tender, chubby face, she couldn’t help but smile.
"Hush now, Alexander, don’t cry, Mommy’s here." Her tone had that doting quality unique to mothers.
Nolan Davis didn’t know she had such a side; she still looked like an eighteen or nineteen-year-old girl, but in reality, she was much more mature than he imagined.
"Can I hold him?" Suddenly, Nolan Davis approached, extending his long, strong arms.
"Oh..." Sophie contemplated for a mont, then carefully placed the child in his arms.
Nolan Davis held him, albeit his movents were sowhat stiff.
The child kept crying, and a trace of awkwardness appeared on Nolan Davis’s face.
"Let take over." Sophie then took the child back into her arms, "I don’t know why, but Alexander seems to cry a lot, but as long as Asher Land is around, he doesn’t cry. I don’t know..."
Sophie trailed off as she spoke.
Nolan Davis chuckled softly, pretending not to have heard anything, and returned to the dining table to start his breakfast.
Sophie saw the child’s little mouth wide open, wailing, then realized he must be hungry.
"Mr. Davis, I’ll head upstairs first..."
"To do what?"

Did she really have to say ’breastfeed’ in front of him?
"The baby’s hungry, I want to feed him sothing..." Sophie tried to put it as tactfully as possible.
"Do you have to go upstairs to feed him?" Nolan Davis looked confusedly at the pile of food on the table.
Sophie’s face flushed slightly. She wasn’t accustod to breastfeeding in front of a man.
Oh, no, there was one exception.
The maid noticed the unease in Sophie’s eyes and whispered a few words into Nolan Davis’s ear.
Nolan Davis finally got the hint.
"You go on up, and rember to co down for breakfast after feeding the baby."
"Alright." Sophie felt a weight lifted off her shoulders and went upstairs with the child.
Once the baby had eaten enough, his mood improved a lot. Sophie cradled him, pacing around the room, unwilling to let go for even a second.
"Alexander, do you miss Daddy?" she asked softly, voicing her heart to a child who couldn’t yet understand.
"I miss him, miss him a lot. If there’s ever a chance, I’ll take you to see him, alright?"
"He definitely wants to see you too. Although sotis he’s a bit harsh, you have to know that he actually loves you..."
