A little after nine in the evening, Nolan Davis hadn’t returned ho yet, so she took out her phone and called him.
"Little Sophie, what’s up?" Nolan Davis’s voice was low and deep, sounding a bit tired.
"Mr. Davis, I have a friend coming from Eastern City to see , landing at the airport at ten tonight. I want to pick her up."
"Wait for a bit; I’m almost ho. I’ll go with you."
"No need, you’ve been working all day and must be tired. Just have a driver go with ."
"That’s not an option," Nolan Davis’s tone was firm, insisting on accompanying her, "I wouldn’t be at ease if you left the Davis Family."

There was no choice, Sophie Smith had to wait for Nolan Davis to co ho. Although he said he’d be ho soon, Sophie waited for more than half an hour and he still hadn’t returned. Seeing that Eva Miller was about to arrive, she was indeed a bit anxious.

"Yes, she is a very important friend indeed." As Sophie Smith looked at the ti on her phone, she began feeling apprehensive, and to make matters worse, they hit traffic on the way to the airport!
"What should I do now? Eva will definitely kill ." She frowned, her pink lips slightly pouted, her anxious mood was evident.
"I’m sorry, it’s my fault for delaying you. But if you went alone, I really wouldn’t be comfortable, you know?" Nolan Davis held her tightly wringing hands, which showed her unease, "Once we et your friend, I’ll definitely apologize to her in person."
Nolan Davis’s words made her a bit embarrassed.
"Mr. Davis, this has nothing to do with you, you don’t need to apologize to her. Besides, once she sees you, she might not be upset anymore."

"Sophie, you stood up!" A thunderous shout erged; fortunately, Sophie Smith was foreseeing this and held the phone far from her ear before answering.
