"You... so that’s what you ant..." Sophie was mortified, quickly backing away from him, her face blushing bright red.
"I also didn’t want to do it, it’s just, I..." Her words were sowhat incoherent, her voice small like a mosquito’s hum, "I thought you wanted to..."
"If I want to, you’ll satisfy ?" Asher’s lips curled into a smile, "Sophie, haven’t you been a bit too obedient lately?"
"You have a problem with being obedient?" Sophie turned her head away sullenly, feeling too ashad to face him. What had she been thinking just now?
Seeing her showing signs of anger, Asher quickly decided not to push it any further.
"Alright, this ti it’s my fault, I should have been clear and shouldn’t have let you misunderstand."
Sophie looked at Asher, whose clothes she had undone, feeling another wave of embarrassnt. She reached out, ready to help straighten them up.
"Since your clothes are almost off, why not go ahead and do it once?"
Sophie was speechless; this was typical of Asher’s behavior. For him, doing that kind of thing seed like a matter of anyti, anywhere, as long as she was with him.
"You don’t have to force yourself." Sophie pouted, making an effort to calm her emotions.
Asher chuckled softly, "How could it be forcing? I’d actually be delighted."
...
The night was like ink, with only the street lamps standing still, spilling warm yellow light, adding a layer of brightness to the surroundings.
Inside the car, Sophie nestled in Asher’s broad chest, her beautiful eyes lightly closed. She was draped in his loose white shirt, with the blush on her cheeks not yet completely faded. Listening to her gentle, even breathing, his heart indeed felt much more at ease.
"Asher, what ti is it? Should I be heading back now?..." She murmured, eyes still closed, as she fondly rubbed her head against his chest. Asher wasn’t sure if she was fully conscious at the mont.
"It’s still early, sleep a bit more." He whispered softly, fiddling with her hair.
"Mmm." Sophie responded and truly fell back asleep once again.
In the morning, the sharp sound of a car horn woke her.
Sophie blinked in surprise and took a look at her surroundings.
Her car was occupying a lane, causing a long queue of cars behind. Startled, Sophie was flustered and wanted to get out of the car, but a powerful grip on her wrist pulled her back.
"Asher..." Sophie awoke like from a dream, recalling last night, and looked at her clothes.
"What do we do?" She was a bit anxious, she couldn’t just walk out only wearing his shirt, could she?
Due to the prolonged delay, a traffic officer ca to manage the situation.
Sophie heard the sound of knocking on the car window, causing her heart to flutter.
Seeking help, she glanced towards Asher; indeed, the situation was quite embarrassing.
Asher was much calr in front of her, unhurriedly rolling down the window. He leaned close to the officer’s ear and casually said a few words, then saw the officer nod and walk off, heading to the back to regulate the traffic.
A line of cars began to detour one by one, leaving Sophie stunned.
"What on earth did you say?"
"Does it matter what I said?" Asher was indifferent, "Perhaps, I only ntioned my na?"
Sophie was taken aback; she knew very well the power of Asher’s na, but experiencing it firsthand still felt a bit exaggerated.
Sophie remained silent, no longer speaking, while Asher took out his phone and dialed Luke’s number.
