Nolan Davis stood up and walked toward the main bedroom upstairs. Shortly after, he ca down wearing a dignified black suit, accentuating his tall figure.
"Mr. Davis, where are you going?" Sophie Smith was still puzzled because Nolan Davis had abruptly ended the previous topic, which indeed surprised her.
"Wherever I want to go, will you accompany ?" He paused, as if he made a big decision, before he spoke the words he wanted to say next. "Consider it your gratitude?"
Sophie Smith said nothing.
"Why? You’re unwilling?" He raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Mr. Davis, would such a reward be too light?"
He smiled without saying a word, just turned and walked out. Sophie Smith didn’t think much, put on her shoes, and followed him.
The car stopped in front of the square waiting for her, and the driver opened the car door for her. She sat down in the back seat.
"Is it up to to decide if it’s light? You accompanying for a day might be worth a hundred million to , of course, maybe just perhaps."
"You an..." Sophie Smith was confused by him; his behavior seed peculiar.
"I an, if you make happy this day, it would be worth a hundred million. Otherwise, it’s worthless. So, have you thought about what to do?"
Make him happy?
That’s not really her forte, but she would still try her best.
The car smoothly traveled on the wide asphalt road, gradually leaving the bustling city center behind.
After about an hour, the car stopped in front of a country estate.
Standing here, the tranquility and harmony imdiately beca apparent.
An elderly servant hunched over and walked up, opening the wooden gate of the estate.
Inside the estate, it was lush and verdant. On both sides of the cobblestone path were expanses of green grass. Not far ahead was an area filled with a vibrant garden, with clusters of flowers, and among them, a clear lake was faintly visible.
Under the sunlight, a wicker chair was set on the grass. Nolan Davis handed his coat to a servant and walked over to sit down.
His slender body relaxed, leaning lazily against the chair, eyes lightly closed.
"Co over here..." The elderly servant waved at her.
Sophie Smith, not knowing the reason, still walked over.
"The estate’s cook took leave a few days ago, attending to so matters. So, you will have to prepare lunch for the gentleman today."
Apparently, the servant also didn’t know Sophie Smith’s exact identity. Seeing that she was brought by Nolan Davis, she must certainly serve Nolan Davis. Thus, requesting her to cook for the gentleman was reasonable, the servant thought internally.
Sophie Smith naturally wouldn’t refuse, she nodded to the servant to indicate her agreent.
"Mr. Davis, what would you like for lunch?" Sophie Smith walked up to Nolan Davis and asked him while he was resting with his eyes closed.
"Why ask this?"
"Oh, I’ll prepare it for you. Didn’t you say the estate’s cook took leave for so matter..."
"I didn’t bring you here to cook for , as my servant." Nolan Davis suddenly opened his eyes, casting a sharp gaze at the elderly servant, who shivered inside and quickly bowed his head.
"It’s fine." Sophie Smith quickly added. The elderly servant didn’t an any harm, and she didn’t want Nolan Davis to take out anger on him.
"Sir, I’m sorry, I was wrong." The elderly servant muttered.
"Little Sophie is not a servant, she’s the master, understand?" Nolan Davis spoke deeply, and the elderly servant repeatedly said yes.
