Four years of emptiness can’t be easily changed with just a few words.
...
Eva Miller recently took on a new movie role, where she plays an outright ditzy, sweet female lead.
Eva rushed to Sophie Smith’s single apartnt and kept pouring out her grievances to Sophie.
"Damn it, taking this role really disgusted ; the female lead’s IQ is practically in the negatives!" Eva was fuming; she really wanted to reject such a low-IQ role, but Sister Sunny assessed the situation, saying that these ditzy sweet roles are pretty popular now and everyone is fighting to play them. It would be such a waste to give it up.
"Sunny is considering the developnt of your star career, after all..." Sophie handed the cut fruit to Eva, "Hasn’t your long-standing dream always been just to beco famous? Why worry so much?"
"That’s true. As long as there’s no selling out or hidden rules, becoming famous would be good." Eva was quite open about this, "Do you know Ana Scott? The one playing the scheming trollop in my new movie. Oh my god, it’s said that last ti, to get a role and endorsent, she climbed into bed with a fifty-year-old fat, big-eared old man. Disgusting."
Eva looked visibly repulsed, glancing over at Sophie, thinking that although Sophie had once been taken advantage of, luckily her sponsor was soone as handso and wealthy as Asher Land...
Asher Land.
Just thinking of that na made Eva inexplicably feel stifled.
Seeing Sophie’s mood wasn’t right, Eva quickly stopped the topic about "hidden rules."
"By the way, Sophie." Eva rembered Sunny asking her to talk about sothing, and before she forgot, she prepared to bring it up to Sophie, "Are you short on money now?"
Well, she shouldn’t be, since she has Nolan Davis, after all.
But Sophie’s answer surprised her.
"Yes, really short."
Eva’s eyes widened, and she recoiled slightly, speaking sarcastically, "Are you serious?"
"Hmm." Her previous savings were almost exhausted; these years, to take care of Alexander peacefully, she hadn’t gone out to work. Of course, Nolan Davis kept giving her money, but with her personality, how could she accept it?
"Would you be willing to return to the entertainnt industry to earn so money? Don’t worry, Sister Sunny will surely pave the way for you."
Return to the entertainnt industry?
Sophie remained silent. In the years when she was most suited for a career in the entertainnt industry, she chose to leave. Would anyone still be interested in her return?
Eva seed to see her doubts and spoke to dispel her concerns.
"Your looks and acting are still there, what are you afraid of? With your charisma, you could easily outshine those diocre stars in the entertainnt crowd."
"Eva..." Sophie frowned displeasedly. Eva’s blunt way of speaking might eventually stir up so trouble in the drama-laden entertainnt industry.
"Alright, alright, I won’t speak anymore, okay?" Eva sensibly kept quiet and started eating fruit on her own.
"Actually, I..." Sophie now had a bigger worry, "My biggest fear is about Alexander’s identity being exposed. He’s still a five-year-old child, and I’m afraid of dragging him into that circle."
"Oh co on, Sophie, making money is always good. If you want to be self-reliant, don’t think too much. Oh, right, it’s said Mr. Davis’s Imperial Entertainnt has officially started operations, and under his company, your developnt prospects are promising."
