The man chuckled softly, ignoring her.
"Lower your waist a bit, and raise your head a little." The man guided from the side.
"Let go." Sophie Smith felt inexplicably annoyed, her tone a bit unfriendly. Where on earth did this man co from? She wasn’t familiar with him, so why was he touching her?
"Young Master Garrison, it seems soone isn’t buying your charm." Soone added fuel to the fire from the side.
The man addressed as Young Master Garrison looked slightly annoyed too. Was this woman going to disrespect him in front of all his brothers?
Sophie shoved the man in front of her aside, tidied up her hair and clothes, and wore an expression of disgust.
"You’re here so late to socialize with n, isn’t it just for selling yourself? How now do you pretend to be reserved and lofty?" The man sneered, his initial patience for Sophie evaporating due to her ’rude’ attitude.
"You’re mistaken, I’m here for a legitimate business collaboration, not what you’re thinking."
"Oh, is it?" The man shrugged, "Should I take pictures of you coming in and out of this private club and post them online? Maybe it could even boost your publicity."
Sophie no longer wished to entangle with this person; it wouldn’t benefit her.
"Sorry, I really have other matters to handle,..."
"Young Master Garrison, if you like her, then go for it. Why bother listening to her blabbering?"
Sophie’s complexion turned pale as she looked at his friends making lousy suggestions, feeling uneasy. She retreated to the door, just about to pull it open and flee, but was blocked by so of his buddies.
"Should we strip her and send her to your bed?"
"..."
Sophie was about to call for help when the door unexpectedly opened, and a middle-aged man in a black suit, with a work badge on his chest, ca in.
The man whispered a few words to the man called Young Master Garrison, whose facial expressions slightly changed before he nodded sowhat numbly.
After finishing, the middle-aged man approached Sophie.
"Miss Smith, I am the manager of this club. A certain gentleman would like to et you. Could you please co with ?"
Sophie, utterly perplexed, wondered who wanted to see her.
But thinking about leaving this problematic place, Sophie promptly agreed without much thought.
Just after stepping out, Sophie called out to the manager.
"Who... is the person wanting to et ?" Sohow, she felt it might still be sowhat dangerous.
"It’s in the private room ahead, Miss Smith, you can see for yourself."
Driven by curiosity, but inherently timid, she hesitated to decide whether to et that person.
In the end, curiosity won over everything.
She took steps into the private room, entering only to find it pitch black inside. She shivered slightly and reached out to touch the switch on the wall. Finding it, she pressed hard but no light shone in the room.
Sophie reflexively wanted to head outside, but before reaching the door, a sound of the door closing echoed.
She yelped in surprise.
"Is there anyone inside?" She swallowed hard, her heart racing anxiously.
On the sofa, there seed to be soone sitting; Sophie heard the sound of a lighter igniting, and saw the person sitting there suddenly light a cigarette.
The smoke sll drifted into her nose.
