She picked up her dress from the floor and hastily put it on, not even bothering to put on her shoes, and ran out.
The wide corridor bathed in warm crystal light was noisy, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Damn, Sophie, what happened to you!" Eva rushed over, pushing her into a private room and slamd the door shut.
"Oh my god, who violated you?"
Eva was almost scared to death by Sophie’s current appearance—clothes in disarray, hair slightly ssy, ambiguous marks on her neck, and an unnatural blush on her face. Anyone who has experienced such a thing would know what she went through.
With so many people passing through the corridor just now, they must have seen her in this disheveled state. Fortunately, she ca out looking for her in ti, caught sight of her at once, and pushed her into the private room. If she had been a little slower and soone took a photo and put it online, what would they do? It would be irreparable.
"Sophie, I won’t ask you what happened for now. Rember, if the news of you being with soone here gets out, you must never admit it, no matter what. As long as they didn’t get any photos, there’s no evidence, got it?" Eva anxiously urged.
Sophie seed still in shock, her eyes vacant and unfocused as she stared at the closed door, her eyes red.
"Damn it, who the hell is the bastard that did this to you? We shouldn’t have agreed to co here with Sister Sunny!" Eva’s heart ached horribly seeing Sophie’s pitifully aggrieved look. Her gaze swept over the sofa, where Sophie’s bra, panties, and a man’s tie were strewn.
This made it obvious, even with minimal thinking: Sophie had been violated.
"Sophie..." Eva cautiously shook her arm, her voice choked, "I’m sorry, I didn’t co to find you sooner, that’s why this happened to you..."
She really was a jerk. Seeing Sophie take so long in the bathroom and still not coming back, she should have imdiately gone to find her! And she still had the nerve to drink there; she deserved to be condemned, unforgivable!
Sophie turned around, walked to the sofa, picked up the tie, and held it in her hand, staring at it for a long ti.
"Eva..." her voice was tired, disappointed, and full of despair, "Asher Land, he’s back, he’s really back..."
"What!" Eva’s mouth dropped open, her wide eyes full of astonishnt, "How is that possible? Did you see him tonight? Where is he now?"
"He’s gone."
She lowered her eyes, tightening her grip on the tie.
Eva thought it over for a while and speculated a few things, but she couldn’t be sure if it was what she imagined.
"The person who was with you just now, it wasn’t anybody else, ...was it President Land?" Eva asked tentatively.
She bit her lip and nodded.
"Damn, what on earth is going on here?"
Eva was about to lose her mind.
She had to admit that when she heard Sophie say it was Asher Land who was with her, she did breathe a sigh of relief. But why would Asher Land just leave after having his way with her? What on earth does he an? Has he not felt how heartbroken Sophie has been for him all these years?
