Luke Land drove for an hour and arrived at a large supermarket in the city. Fortunately, the supermarket was still open.
He seldom shopped at supermarkets, so he felt a bit unfamiliar and couldn’t find the milk section after searching for a long ti.
Gradually, a crowd gathered around him. Indeed, there are so people who light up any room they walk into, attracting everyone’s attention, and he was one of them.
After searching for quite a while, he finally found what he wanted.
His slender fingers slid over the shelf, but he hesitated slightly.
Which one should he buy?
He had absolutely no experience with this sort of thing.
Thinking it over, he decided to call Sophie Smith for ’help’.
"You’re in the city buying milk for our son now?" Sophie exclaid, "Actually, Asher, if you don’t have any at ho, Alexander doesn’t need to drink it for just one night..."
"Stop babbling, what brand of milk does our son drink?"
"Oh." A sense of warmth filled Sophie’s heart, and after a pause, she continued, "The milk our son drinks is imported from New Zealand."
Sophie ntioned the brand of the milk, and Asher Land scanned the shelves. Sure enough, there it was, and he reached out to grab it.
"Alright, I found it, I’ll hang up now."
After saying that, he hung up the phone and rushed to the checkout counter.
The female cashier couldn’t help but fall into a daze for three seconds as she swiped Asher Land’s card for the purchase.
When he got ho, he went upstairs to the bedroom to take a look. The room lights were still on, and by the bright light, Alexander was engrossed in reading a comic book.
Asher was relieved that he hadn’t fallen asleep yet. He sighed in relief and then hurried to the kitchen.
He went to the kitchen; even though he bought the milk, he didn’t know how to prepare it.
"Hey, co here for a mont..." Asher casually called one of the maids, "How do I do this?"
"Mr. Land, let do it." The maid was about to take the milk bottle from his hand, but he stopped her.
"Just tell how to prepare it, I’ll do it myself." He seed quite willing to try making his son’s first cup of milk himself.
"Oh..." The maid responded and began to instruct him slowly.
"Mr. Land, first pour warm water into the milk bottle, yes, up to that mark." The maid pointed, and Asher followed her instructions. His actions were sowhat awkward as he carefully added the water, "Then what?"
"Then add three scoops of milk powder."
"You also need to shake it."
"..."
Under the maid’s guidance, Third Young Master Land, who had never made milk before, finally managed to prepare it.
He held the milk, his expression becoming much brighter, and he stepped upstairs.
He pushed open the door, and Alexander looked up in surprise.
"Uncle, you’re still not asleep?" Alexander asked, looking up.
"Drink the milk." He handed the bottle to him, a slight awkwardness flashing across his face.
"Uncle, did you make this milk?" Alexander asked in surprise.
"Just drink it if I tell you to, why ask so many questions?"
Alexander pouted, took the milk, and drank a big sip, "If you made it, I just wanted to say thank you..."
Asher Land’s arm stiffened, the awkwardness on his face becoming more apparent.
"Finish the milk and go to bed early."
With that, he strode out.
He really didn’t know why he was acting so reserved in front of his own son.
