"P-President Land..."
Isabella Yates and Amy never expected to run into the big boss of the Golden Era Consortium while shopping at the mall.
Instinctively, Isabella glanced behind Asher Land, and sure enough, Sophie Smith was there, but she hadn’t noticed Isabella and Amy.
She was at another counter selecting clothes, wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a mask, fully disguised.
Asher Land was accompanying Sophie for shopping, but then he spotted Isabella Yates.
Heh, yes, he was here for revenge; he had always been soone who would repay a grudge.
He took the shoes Isabella was about to pay for, looked at them for a couple of seconds, and then glanced at Isabella again.
"How co I feel like these shoes don’t really match you?"
Isabella looked down, not knowing what Asher Land ant by that.
"Nice shoes should go with nice people."
Isabella’s face turned red then white, extrely embarrassed. So Asher was just indirectly saying she was ugly.
Asher glanced at Sophie, who was still looking at clothes, hesitated for a few seconds, then whispered a few words to Robert Williams. Robert responded and walked over to Sophie and soon brought her over.
When Sophie looked up, she saw the bitter expression on Isabella’s face and the sowhat flustered Amy standing next to her.
"What’s going on..." She didn’t know how Asher Land ended up face-to-face with Isabella and Amy, suddenly rembering how last ti, Isabella left her locked in a public restroom in the suburbs...
Could it be that this ti, Asher was here to give Isabella a hard ti?
"If you’ve got sothing to say, say it quickly. I... I had my eye on an outfit over there and still want to try it on..."
She just didn’t want to stay there.
"I found a pair of shoes, pretty nice and they seem suitable for you. Want to try them on? Hmm?" Asher handed Sophie the shoes that Isabella had chosen. Sophie wasn’t aware of the situation, thinking maybe Asher just genuinely thought the shoes would suit her and wanted her to try them on.
Without much thought, Sophie sat on a leather bench and tried the shoes on.
After changing into the shoes, she stood in front of Asher, who lowered his head to take a glance.
Indeed, such a beautiful and elegant pair of shoes could only bring out the essence when worn by his woman.
"I’ll take these shoes." Asher tossed his card onto the counter.
Isabella felt a wave of embarrassnt wash over her. Everyone present, except for Sophie, clearly understood what was happening: Asher was making it clear that Isabella was not as pretty or graceful as Sophie and didn’t deserve this expensive and beautiful pair of shoes.
The store clerk awkwardly glanced at Isabella before processing Asher’s paynt swiftly, even though she felt a bit bad.
Asher glanced elsewhere in the store, noticing they had the sa model.
"How many more of these pairs do you have?" Asher casually asked.
"Two pairs."
"Pack up the remaining two pairs as well; I’ll take them."
"Asher..." Sophie tugged at his sleeve, "I don’t like wearing the sa shoes..."
Was he crazy, buying so many? Even with money, there’s no need to act like so nouveau riche.
He ignored her, and simply had the identical pairs packed to take away, handing them to Robert.
"Alright, if you’re done shopping, have Robert take you ho. I have so matters to attend to at the company."
