"Irene..." Colton Morton walked over, wanting to help her up.
"Why? Why did he... do this?" Irene Morton’s voice choked with emotion, she struggled to speak coherently.
"Irene, let it go." Luke Land saw Irene in this state, and felt a pang of discomfort in his heart as well. He understood how she felt about Asher Land perfectly. Her care for Asher was no less than Sophie Smith’s, but sotis, her attitude toward love was a bit obsessive.
This didn’t please Asher Land.
"It’s not too late to let go now. The fact that my third brother likes Sophie is unchangeable, why must you hang yourself on this one tree when there are plenty of great n out there..."
Luke Land was talking incessantly on the side, but Irene remained indifferent. Indeed, if her feelings for Asher could be easily resolved with just a few words, that would truly be sothing inexplicable.
Irene sat on the ground, no matter how much Colton Morton and Luke Land tried to persuade her, she simply refused to get up.
Colton Morton felt a twitch of pain in his heart, seeing his daughter being so helpless because of a man was truly unsettling. His face darkened, and with a wave of his hand, he walked upstairs.
"Get up; it’s cold on the ground." Luke Land, having no other choice, used brute force to pull Irene off the floor and tossed her onto the sofa to sit.
He glanced at Irene, and the grievance in her eyes just now vanished in an instant, replaced by a hint of ruthlessness, making Luke Land’s scalp tingle with unease.
"I’m saying, at this point, why don’t you just let my third brother and Sophie be? In love, mutual affection is what’s most important..."
"Shut up!" Irene stood up and yelled at Luke Land, "Have you ever loved soone? Do you know what it feels like to love soone? Oh, right, how could soone like you, who treats won as playthings, changing bed partners every day, understand how I feel now?"
"Is this really the image you have of ?" Luke Land lanted internally. He too had soone he loved. He loved Eva Miller, for her—that Little Chili—he hadn’t touched other won in a long ti, okay?
Irene took out her phone and kept dialing Asher Land’s number, but no one answered.
In a fit of rage, she threw her phone to the ground, smashing it to pieces.
"You don’t have to be so violent..." Luke Land shook his head helplessly.
anwhile, at the Land Family villa.
Sophie Smith held Asher Land’s phone and walked to the study.
"Um... Irene just made a lot of calls, you should call her back," Sophie handed the phone to Asher Land. Although she knew what Irene was reaching out for, she didn’t want to hide certain truths.
"I think, regarding our situation... you still need to clarify things with Irene."
Asher Land took the phone and looked at her with so suspicion. Sophie, feeling awkward under his gaze, turned and walked out without thinking much.
He hesitated for a mont but eventually dialed Irene’s number.
However, it also couldn’t connect. Thinking for a mont, he redirected the call to Luke Land.
"Oh, you finally decided to call back." Before Asher Land could say anything, Luke Land lanted, "Quickly get over here and talk things over with that girl Irene about Sophie, or else I’m afraid she might beco distraught and do sothing reckless."
