Originally, there were only a handful of people in front of the plaza, but because of this accident, a large crowd gathered.
Upon hearing the news, Eva Miller and Sunny dashed from the company building.
"Make way, make way!" Eva frantically pushed through layer after layer of the crowd, anxious to squeeze through.
At the center of the crowd, Sophie Smith sat on the ground in disarray, holding Wyatt Sterling’s blood-covered body, crying uncontrollably.
"Oh my God!" Eva gasped, covering her mouth in disbelief as she looked at the scene before her, "How could this happen? Just ten minutes ago, everyone was fine!"
"Senior Brother, don’t scare , you must be okay, you just have to be..."
Sophie’s voice choked, her words mumbled over and over again.
Suddenly, a hand that had hung limply by one side trembled up, grabbing Sophie’s wrist.
"Senior Brother!" A glimr of hope shone in Sophie’s eyes, "Wait, just a bit longer, the ambulance is coming soon, just hold on a bit more."
"Sophie..."
"I’m here! I’m here!"
Wyatt weakly opened his eyes halfway, the bright red blood seeped down from his forehead into his eyes, and even at this last mont, when he still retained a fragnt of consciousness, wanting to see her clearly, but he was utterly helpless, her face beca gradually indistinct in his vision...
Finally, he could do sothing for her, even if it ant using his life as a barter, but he remained unregretful. This lifeti, the one thing he never regretted was eting her.
From the first mont he laid eyes on her, he knew how he felt.
It was love at first sight.
A very cliched love tale, yet it was his unwavering faith.
Sophie saw him moving his lips, but his voice was too weak, too weak, that she couldn’t hear anything clearly.
Desperate, she moved her ear closer to his lips, feeling the warmth of his breath pass along with his labored breathing.
"Senior Brother, what are you saying? I can’t hear you clearly!"
Sophie, with tear-filled eyes, looked up at the surrounding crowd.
"Please, be quiet! Can you please be quiet?" She shouted, her reason snapped.
Seeing Sophie’s look of utter anguish, Eva’s tears welled up and fell as well. Together with Sunny, they started to disperse the onlookers.
It beca much quieter around them, and Sophie leaned close to his lips once more.
"Sophie..."
Sophie could only hear him calling her na.
So words, even at the very end, he didn’t know if he should utter.
Every part of his body felt as though it was being ripped apart, the pain making it hard for him to breathe; he understood, this ordeal, he wouldn’t survive.
Now he only wished to tell her, he loved her, he really loved her.
Even if in the past, the days he appeared in her life were so brief.
But, this didn’t prevent his feelings for her.
Sotis, love is an obsession.
He tightened his lips together, and in the end, the words he wanted to say remained deeply buried, rotting in his stomach, a secret he would carry with him to Hell.
He wanted her to live happily, without a lifeti of guilt and self-bla because of this event.
He didn’t want his supposedly unrequited love to burden her; he didn’t want her to live heavily in this world, laden with guilt.
