Asher Land took her to a brand-na fashion store, seeming like a regular here, as the staff greeted him with unusual enthusiasm.
"Pick out an evening gown for this lady."
"Sure." The staff expertly brought out the latest style, "This is the newest model, quite fitting for the lady’s temperant. Mr. Land, what do you think?"
Asher Land took the dress, furrowing his brows displeasedly.
"This dress doesn’t accentuate the waist enough. Find one that highlights her figure."
Sophie Smith stood aside, completely looking like an outsider.
"How about this one, Mr. Land?" The staff kept bringing new designs for Asher Land to review.
"The color should be more subtle."
"The skirt is too short."

Asher Land truly was an extrely picky person; one would think he was choosing a wife here, why so serious?
Finally, Asher Land picked one he deed satisfactory.
"Go try it on!"
Sophie obediently took the dress and walked into the changing room.
Asher Land boredly played with his phone while waiting outside, finding won truly troubleso. How could trying on a dress take over ten minutes?
Sophie stood hesitantly in the changing room; the dress Asher Land picked was exceptionally sexy. She felt a bit rooted to the spot, having never tried this style before.
"Sophie, if you don’t co out now, I’ll kick the door down!" Asher Land stood outside the changing room, impatiently knocking a few tis. Was she asleep in there?
"Alright, I’m coming out."
Sophie opened the door, and Asher Land glanced at her, montarily stunned.
She wore a silver strapless rmaid gown, ********, her graceful figure on display, and her shoulder-length curls added a touch of cuteness to the sexiness. Coupled with her shy deanor, sohow, he felt a sudden flutter.
"It suits you quite well." His sudden feeling rely translated into a simple comnt on its suitability.
Asher Land took Sophie to an evening banquet, which was of a comrcial nature attended by well-known public figures from Eastern City, including business elites and company presidents. The dia were not invited, and Sophie breathed a sigh of relief. If the dia saw her with Asher Land, they’d twist stories out of it tomorrow.
Asher Land placed Sophie’s hand on his arm, and the two walked into the banquet hall together.
It was then that Sophie saw what was called high society—under the gentle, dazzling lights, n in suits, won in elegant dresses, like landscapes, while she was just soone viewing from afar.
Wherever they went, Asher Land was the center of attention; his aura was undeniable.
"President Land, long ti no see." A middle-aged man approached with a wine glass, piling up layers of false complints, "Golden Era has been investing quite a lot in films recently, is there any chance to collaborate with you?"
"Golden Era will explore collaboration possibilities with any company that shows sincerity."
A crowd slowly gathered around them, and Sophie felt suffocated amidst the dense sea of people.
She saw the flattery with her eyes and felt disgusted in her heart.
Gradually, people started focusing on her, and she lowered her head, desperately trying to evade them.
"President Land, your girlfriend is quite beautiful!"
