Irene covered her bleeding forehead and staggered to her feet from the ground.
Asher Land’s threats to her had been made more than once or twice.

She curled her lips and let out a cold snort from her nose, with an air of disdain.

Before Irene could finish her sentence, her whole body was swung aside by a heavy slap from Asher Land.
She looked at him with so fear in her eyes. Today, today, he actually used violence against her twice?

The iron chains hit with a crisp sound, Irene’s face turned exceedingly grim.
He wants to imprison her?
"I want to see Brother Asher!" Irene shouted at the door, "If he’s got the guts, let him kill with a knife, what’s the point of soft-imprisoning ?"
"Miss Irene, this is already the greatest kindness President Land can offer you."
Robert said as he locked the iron door.
"Bullshit!" Irene spat, "Bring him to ! I want to see him!"
She didn’t want to stay in this dark, sunless basent, she didn’t.
