The rain gradually eased until the sky cleared again.
Only then did Dragonite proudly land on the ground.
At this mont, Naoki finally understood the purpose of Dragonite’s return.
It was showing off to its companions the powerful moves it had mastered!
After Dragonite’s display, the young Dratini in the great lake looked on with admiration in their eyes.
Just then, a defiant-looking Dragonite, after recovering from its shock, challenged Dragonite to a duel.
Dragonite blinked and happily accepted the challenge.
The two Dragonite flew into the air and officially began the sparring, watched by a crowd of Dragonite.
The Wild Dragonite opened its mouth wide, starting to gather a purple energy inside.
Naoki imdiately recognized the na of that move—Dragon Rage.
So, how would his Dragonite respond?
Naoki quickly turned his gaze toward his Dragonite.
He saw that it wasn’t flustered at all; instead, it flapped its wings and charged swiftly forward, launching a surprise attack at lightning speed.
Just as the Wild Dragonite’s Dragon Rage was being gathered, it was hit by Dragonite.
This move Extre Speed knocked it off balance, and the purple shockwave it had gathered was spit out toward the sky.
"Nice, it even knows to use Extre Speed for a preemptive strike," Naoki praised in his heart.
The battle was not yet over.
That Wild Dragonite, stunned by Dragonite’s speed being faster than its own, launched a new wave of attacks once more.
It flapped its wings, conjuring a fierce Hurricane that swept forward.
But this move hardly affected Dragonite.
After all, Dragonite had abundant experience facing Hurricanes; back then, it had endured all pains to cross typhoons and reach the eye of the storm.
So now, Dragonite withstood the fierce wind, its mind flashing back to the image of Rayquaza dancing fiercely amidst the storm.
Then, facing the wind, it charged forward.
A layer of Spark appeared on its fist, and it struck the opponent with a Thunder Punch.
The Wild Dragonite staggered but quickly regained its posture.
The dragon wings on its back spread to the widest, a white light flashed across, transforming into massive white light wings, charging straight at Dragonite.
Facing this Wing Attack, Dragonite didn’t retreat; instead, it swung its tail to et the blow.
Wing Attack vs Dragon Tail!
The two Dragonite collided in mid-air; then, one of them fell to the ground like a kite with a broken string.
The battle had ended.
Gazing at Dragonite floating in the air, at this mont, the entire audience was stunned!
Almost all the Dragonite had an incredulous expression on their faces.
Clearly, the last ti they t, it was a dummy Dragonite that couldn’t learn moves. Why has it beco so powerful now?
Under the watchful eyes of many Dragonite, Dragonite sowhat bashfully landed in front of the injured Dragonite, looking at it with so concern.
At this mont, Naoki ran up with Koraidon, pulling out a bottle of Berry Milk with the effect of restoring Pokemon’s stamina and fed it to the Dragonite injured by Dragonite.
Instantly, its wounds disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The Dragonite looked astonished.
It didn’t bla Dragonite since it’s not uncommon for Dragonite to occasionally spar with each other and get injured.
It looked at this human and then at this suddenly powerful companion and couldn’t help but ask from the bottom of its heart:
"Awooo?" (How did you beco so powerful?)
Dragonite, looking delighted, happily replied, "Awooo!" (That’s because I found my Trainer!)
Wild Dragonite looked puzzled: "Awooo?" (Trainer?)
Thinking of Koraidon’s description of a Trainer, Dragonite narrated, "Awooo!" (A human who can help Pokemon beco stronger and learn moves!)
At that very mont, hearing these words, all the Dragonite seeking to grow stronger turned their gaze to the only human present.
Naoki imdiately felt a chill down his spine.
But before he could speak, Dragonite put on a wary expression, standing in front of him: "Awooo!" (This is my Trainer!)
