Early the next morning, Naoki was standing by the farmland watching Dragonite water the crops when Allen suddenly ca rushing in from outside on a Cyclizar.
From a distance, he excitedly shouted to Naoki, "Naoki, I’ve got news about the thing you asked to do last ti!"
Hearing this, Naoki was slightly startled, wondering what task he had assigned to Allen.
But then he rembered the ti during the spring competition when he had asked Allen to help him find a Housekeeper Pokemon.
Housekeeper Pokemon...
Naoki was intrigued and quickly said, "Tell more!"
Allen jumped off the Cyclizar and explained in detail:
"Here’s the thing, a few days ago I received a letter, and the person asked to deliver it to soone in the neighboring Cascarrafa City."
"That person lives in a very large mansion, and when I delivered the letter, I heard that the owner of the mansion was looking for soone to take care of two Indeedee!"
"Didn’t I rember that you needed a Housekeeper Pokemon? So, I specifically asked around, and an elderly man, who seed quite frail, received . He asked so questions about you and then suggested we co together to take a look when we have ti."
Indeedee? And two of them?
Naoki looked surprised, "Two?"
Allen nodded, "Yes, two Experieces Even Indeedee!"
Naoki was a bit puzzled, "Why would that person give away such Pokemon?"
Allen shook his head, "I don’t know, his only requirent is that soone can care for the two Indeedee well. Think about when you’ve got ti, we can go together."
"I’m available right now." Saying that, Naoki headed back to the house to change his clothes, "Which city is it again?"
Allen: "Cascarrafa City, it’s very close to us. You can get there in less than two hours on a Cyclizar."
"Okay." Naoki nodded.
He turned back into the house to change his clothes, grabbed so change and a backpack, and told Koraidon to watch over the ranch, saying he’d be back in the afternoon. There’s food in the fridge, and it should be given to everyone for lunch.
Koraidon nodded back obediently and wasn’t jealous at all.
"Good, I’ll make you sothing tasty later."
Naoki patted its head, then got on his Cyclizar just like Allen.
The two left the ranch and headed towards the target city.
On the way, Naoki curiously asked, "Aren’t you working today?"
Allen looked puzzled, "Today’s the weekend! The post office is off for two days, no work!"
Naoki: "..."
Oh dear, he completely forgot about that.
Allen laughed, "Have you been living alone so long that you’ve forgotten the days?"
"No." Naoki said truthfully, "I just didn’t expect you guys to have two days off without working overti. I’m really envious."
Allen said speechlessly, "Is the work at the ranch that tiring?"
"Not really." Naoki said.
With so many Pokemon to help, his daily work was very light, except when plowing and planting crops, which was a bit busier, and preparing large amounts of food daily.
Although tiring, seeing so many Pokemon living on the ranch was a joy for him.
He just felt this world is really easygoing, without overtis and with two days off a week, which was unthinkable for a working-class person from his previous life, unless in specific jobs.
But he couldn’t explain the specific reasons to Allen, so he switched the topic, "I haven’t been to Cascarrafa City yet!"
Not thinking much of it, Allen heard this and laughed, "Cascarrafa City is much bigger than our Porto Marinada Town! It’s a famous Water City, also known as the aquatic paradise."
Naoki recalled the map of the Paldea Region in his mind.
Porto Marinada Town is located in the northwest part of the map, while Cascarrafa City is in the central area of the Paldea Region, situated next to the Paldea Giant Pit, with a vast desert area between it and Porto Marinada Town.
Thinking about this, Naoki asked, "Do we need to go through the Asado Desert first?"
Allen shook his head, "No need, the desert is too dangerous, the Pokemon there are very aggressive, and the weather is extrely hot. Today we’re taking the main road, which was officially built by the League. There’s no danger from Pokemon on the road, so we can walk safely."
Naoki nodded and didn’t say much more.
The two continued along the main road.
Because of Allen’s words, Naoki made a point of observing the Pokemon by the roadside and indeed found, just as Allen had said, that they were all small in size, mild-mannered, and non-aggressive Pokemon.
Along the way, besides themselves, they occasionally saw a few passing trucks, backpackers camping in the fields, or Trainers engaged in Pokemon battles.
When running at full speed, Cyclizar’s speed can rival that of a real motorcycle, and it’s said that it can reach speeds of up to 120km/h.
As ti ticked by, the sun rose high, the air beca hot, and at last, a lively bustling city appeared ahead.
"We’re here!" Allen said happily.
Naoki looked up to see the entire Cascarrafa City situated on a cliff, due to the terrain, the whole city was divided into three tiers.
Through Cascarrafa City, he could see further into the distance, a stretch of endless rugged cliffs, unreachable by sight, obscured by white misty clouds.
