"Looks like we're about to face so type matchups!" Boss Clay said from a distance.
The green Pokemon, obviously Grass Type, had no advantage against the flying and Fire Type Charizard.
However, in the next mont, everyone saw the Pokemon make a strange move.
It fiddled with its green coat, then unexpectedly pulled out a sorrowful, teary-looking blue mask and put it on its face.
Imdiately after, people saw the Pokemon's body change from green to blue.
Boss Clay: "???"
Alder: "???"
Lance: "?"
Nemona opened her mouth in shock: "What's going on? Did its form change?"
Naoki couldn't help but face-palm, wondering if Ogerpon's transformation right in front of everyone might be a bit inappropriate...
But it was too late, the battle had officially begun.
Facing the Grass Type Ogerpon, Lance decisively commanded: "Flathrower!"
Naoki wasn't very sure of Ogerpon's actual combat power, but recalling how it managed to defeat four opponents single-handedly, Ogerpon definitely must be strong.

Facing Charizard's Flathrower, Ogerpon excitedly brandished the Thorn Stick and charged forward.

Ogerpon swung the Thorn Stick in front of it, continuously deflecting the scorching Flathrower, turning them into fiery snakes that were dissipated by the Water Type Energy of the stick.
Charizard, seeing this, was shocked and unsure if it should continue its attack.
Lance frowned: "Increase the firepower!"
Charizard imdiately steadied itself, boosting its Flathrower output.
Yet Ogerpon just barreled straight through the flas, dodged aside at the right mont, and raised the Thorn Stick high, catching Charizard completely off guard.
"Boni!"
With a bang, Ogerpon hit Charizard square on the head with the stick.
After enduring such a heavy blow, Charizard collapsed to the ground, its pink tongue hanging out helplessly, rendered unable to battle.
Everyone: "???"
Boss Clay: "Did it end in just one turn?"
Wasn't there supposed to be a type matchup? What move was that? How did it defeat Lance's Charizard in one stroke?
Alder's eyes glead brightly; he knew he hadn't misjudged them!
Seeing this scene, everyone except Alder couldn't help but be stunned.
What had they seen?
A single swing took down Charizard?
That Pokemon seed so cute, why was it so violent? What was its origin?
"Boni Boni!"
Having won the battle, Ogerpon gleefully put away the stick, ran back to Naoki's side seeking praise, and asked with starry eyes:
"Boni?" Wasn't it amazing?
For a mont, Naoki didn't know what to say, so he simply patted Ogerpon's head, now reevaluating its strength.
Naoki glanced at Lance across from him, noting that Lance hadn't yet regained his composure.
After a long ti, Lance ca to his senses, his face showing a serious expression, "Wow... So strong! Naoki, you're really strong!"
