The pattering rain started at noon.
It was Feng Fuce’s turn to rest.
He was now a favorite by Long Xiyuan’s side, and all those Imperial Guards treated him with utmost respect.
"Brother Ce, you go ahead and eat first, we’ll take over the watch."
"Yeah, anyway, the Emperor is taking a nap now, nothing urgent at the mont."

The two Imperial Guards exchanged glances, imdiately understanding with a smile.

What he ant was, calling him that was inappropriate in the palace.
Why not just call him Commander?
But before Feng Fuce had ti to explain, the two Imperial Guards looked past him.
They imdiately beca excited, almost dancing with joy.
"Grandpa Ce, look behind you, behind you!"
Feng Fuce turned his head and saw Bai Zhi’er in a bright pink dress, walking angrily with an oil-paper umbrella.
Under the umbrella, her delicate white face still held a hint of coquettish anger.
A thin scarf wrapped around her neck was rather eye-catching.
The two Imperial Guards grinned, "Since Madam is here to visit, we won’t disturb you. We’ll go on duty. Grandpa Ce, take your ti chatting."
With that, they winked and nudged each other as they left.
Bai Zhi’er walked under the corridor, and Feng Fuce was already smiling gently at her, "Why are you here at this hour?"
"Did you want to accompany you to lunch?" He asked.
Bai Zhi’er looked around to make sure no one was listening.
She clenched her tiny pink fists and whispered angrily, "You made embarrass myself this morning!"
Feng Fuce raised an eyebrow, a hint of curiosity and amusent in his eyes, "What happened? Didn’t I help you change your clothes properly?"
Bai Zhi’er widened her eyes, "You helped change clothes? When did that happen!"
Feng Fuce’s tone of explanation was calm, filled with gentle patience.
"The wedding robe they found for you was a bit rough, snagging and damaging the clothing underneath. You were sleeping so soundly, I had no choice but to help you change."
Bai Zhi’er imdiately clutched her heart, "You..."
It seed Feng Fuce knew what she was about to say.
His handso face showed no trace of flirtation or ambiguity.
He simply interrupted her question with a cool, pleasant voice.
"I didn’t peek."
Bai Zhi’er’s face turned red again.
In the dim rainy weather, Feng Fuce looked at the girl in front of him, vibrant and full, like a little flower ready to bloom.
He couldn’t help but slightly press his lips together, his fingertips gently caressing the unseen area, as if pondering sothing.
Bai Zhi’er lowered her voice and questioned again, "Then what’s this about!"
She quietly pulled aside the thin scarf, pointing to the mark on her collarbone.
Feng Fuce glanced at it.
He explained calmly, "A show needs to be convincing, or how else would people believe it?"
"If I didn’t leave a mark, there would be no way to explain things. And it’s made with a fingertip, not what you’re thinking."
Seeing Feng Fuce being so forthright, Bai Zhi’er felt she had really overthought things.
She only grew more shy and flustered!
She had to feign anger, glaring huffily at Feng Fuce.
"Next ti, discuss with in advance, or I won’t speak to you!"
Feng Fuce laughed softly, relaxing his brow, "Alright."
Bai Zhi’er picked up the umbrella and was about to leave, but Feng Fuce stopped her, "Eat before you go."
The girl blinked her long eyelashes, "Where did the food co from?"
"Mine, the Imperial Kitchen prepares a separate al for the Commander, you can have mine."
Hearing there was good food, Bai Zhi’er imdiately nodded, "Alright!"
