Although it was an ordinary item.
Bai Zhi’er’s big round eyes lit up like stars.
"Mommy is amazing, leaving such a beautiful stone!"
She treated it like a treasure, carefully putting it into her own wallet.
The shopkeeper, behind the counter, saw the little one’s tender, delicate face.
He couldn’t help but feel a sense of pity.
Such a beautiful little child, could she be here to retrieve her mother’s keepsake?
Clearly, it was sothing of no value, yet because it was a trace left by her mother, it was very cherished!
The shopkeeper sighed, he reached out to help Bai Zhi’er put away so of the scattered items he had just poured out.
The golden beans that rolled to the side, the shopkeeper stuffed them back one by one.
Feng Fuce helped tie the wallet back to Bai Zhi’er’s waist.
The shopkeeper picked up the last golden bean: "Little one, you missed this."
Bai Zhi’er’s curled long eyelashes fluttered, her pink lips curved, smiling playfully and charmingly.
"Grandpa, you can have it!"
The fourth brother had said.
As long as she liked, this golden bean could be given to anyone she pleased!
Upon hearing this, the shopkeeper thought, could there really be such a good thing?!
His eyes brightened.
"Thank you, Miss, for your generosity! Would you two esteed guests please wait a mont, I need to write a contract, once it’s signed, you’ll be done."
A contract, as the na implies, signifies the end of the entrustnt today.
Bai Zhi’er nodded obediently.
The shopkeeper turned around to write the contract inside.
An employee from the bank stepped up to take the shopkeeper’s place.
During the wait, Bai Zhi’er was always held by Feng Fuce, being lifted under her armpits.
The little one uncomfortably wiggled her small feet.
"Brother Fu Ce, aren’t you tired?" She turned her round and cute face, asking softly.
Feng Fuce replied plainly, "Not tired."
Bai Zhi’er exhaled a breath like milk, "But I’m tired! Can’t you hold !?"
Being lifted like this made the little one feel like she was hanging in mid-air!
Feng Fuce’s thin eyes were startled, and a look of doubt instantly appeared on his face: "Hold?"
Bai Zhi’er, dissatisfied, kicked at the air: "You don’t even know how to hold a child!"
After speaking, the bossy little one suddenly extended one arm over, her little hand gripping his neck tightly.
The other little hand quickly followed, clutching the clothes on his shoulder.
With all her might, Bai Zhi’er finally made Feng Fuce instinctively cradle her little body.
"Phew~" The little one shook her head helplessly: "Having a brother is really tiring."
Her round, chubby pink face was almost pressed against Feng Fuce’s collar.
He lightly coughed, sowhat unaccustod, his thin lips pressed tightly, holding Bai Zhi’er with slightly stiff movents.
Bai Zhi’er seed to sense his unease.
Her little head tilted, coming closer to Feng Fuce, her eyes clear like glazed glass, bright and innocent.
She blinked her long lashes, examining Feng Fuce.
Bai Zhi’er asked sincerely, in her childlike voice: "Brother Fu Ce, have you never held a child?"
Feng Fuce’s dark eyes turned to look sideways.
His eyes always seed veiled with a mist from a cold spring.
Looking into them, one could only feel a distant chill.
Yet, when he looked at Bai Zhi’er, staring at her curious and cute little expression.
In Feng Fuce’s eyes, a fleeting hint of a smile appeared.
"I have never held a child," he said serenely, but quickly added, "only held a little rascal."
Bai Zhi’er was montarily stunned.
Then, with an indignant puff, she widened her watery eyes, her little fists clenched tightly!
"I haven’t called you a big rascal for a long ti!"
Feng Fuce rarely laughed: "Then I’ll only call you that once."
