Liu Yingnan had just returned ho when the nanny from the palace called on them.
In front of Master Liu and Madam of the Liu Family, the nanny recounted how Liu Yingnan had sched and maneuvered to compete for the position of the Princess’s study companion.
Liu Yingnan stood beside them with an ashen face, saying nothing, her head bowed.

Liu Yingnan wiped her tears and glanced sideways at Madam standing protectively before her.
"Mother..." She gently tugged at Madam’s sleeve.
Madam’s expression was also very grave.

Her actions were gentle, but her gaze was icy.

The lost opportunity for the study companion position also left a poor impression of the Liu Family with the little princess.
