Zhi’er turned his head and saw a figure descending the hillside, carrying a hoe.
Old Man Gao was over fifty, but his hair was almost completely gray.
He held a leaf-rolled green stalk in his mouth, with a bemused smile on his face.
"Piglet, you still have that old habit from childhood, climbing walls and sneaking around, stealing little things. I should have let Big Yellow bite off your fingers earlier, so you’d never beco a thief in your life!"
Old Man Gao spoke as he approached.
The big yellow dog saw its owner coming and quickly wagged its tail to greet him.
As Old Man Gao passed by Zhi’er and the others, he glanced at them with his weathered, aged eyes.
The pockmarked man ran over, accompanying his words with a smile: "Old Man Gao, there are outsiders here, so please don’t call by my nickna!"
"I ca today because these honored people want to borrow Big Yellow from you to find soone."
Old Man Gao squinted his eyes and cupped his hand around his ear: "What did you say?"
The pockmarked man raised his voice: "Borrow Big Yellow, to find soone!"
Old Man Gao waved his hand: "No way. Big Yellow is old, and a few months ago, a bear nearly bit off one of its legs when it ca into the village."
"It can’t roam all over the mountains like it used to."
Having said this, he pushed open the door, and the big yellow dog went inside first.
Without looking up, Old Man Gao said, "You all should leave. I’m just a simple village man and can’t help you."
The pockmarked man hurriedly held the door: "Old Man Gao, please help us this once. We ca all this way with great difficulty!"
It’s really not easy to co out here!
The big yellow dog started grinning at the pockmarked man, emitting a low warning growl.
"I can’t help!" Old Man Gao pushed the pockmarked man away, intending to forcibly shut the door.
At this mont, Fang Youzhen stepped forward and directly knelt before Old Man Gao.
Bai Yaoyu was montarily taken aback by this sight.

Old Man Gao looked down, his gaze complex as he peered at her.
Just then, Zhi’er stepped forward, her voice sweet and soft: "Grandpa Gao, do you want bear paws?"
Old Man Gao looked at the exquisitely beautiful little girl in front of him.
Zhi’er smiled sweetly: "The bear bullied Big Yellow, so I’ll get you a pair of bear paws as a gift. How about that?"
Old Man Gao squinted, remained silent for a mont, then suddenly laughed.
"Piglet, where do you et so many capable people? You’re really sothing."
After speaking, Old Man Gao sighed: "Alright, I’ll agree to help you, but little girl, the bear paws you promised must be delivered."
Zhi’er nodded emphatically, her watery eyes sparkling: "It’s a deal!"
Old Man Gao reached out to Fang Youzhen: "Give that piece of blood cloth."
Fang Youzhen hurriedly took it out from her fold.
Old Man Gao held it in his hand, crouched down, let the big yellow dog sniff it, and whispered a few words into its ear.
The big yellow dog sniffed the scent of the blood cloth, then dashed outside with great speed.
Old Man Gao laughed heartily: "Quick, follow it! It can lead you to the person!"
Fang Youzhen quickly got up and almost stumbled, but Bai Yaoyu discreetly steadied her.
Everyone boarded the carriage and left in haste.
The pockmarked man didn’t forget to lift the curtain: "Old Man Gao, thanks! I’ll bring you so wine when I visit!"
Old Man Gao cupped his hand to his ear: "What?"
The carriage had already chased after the yellow dog far away.
Thirty minutes later.
In a pool deep within the dense forest, everyone discovered General Fang floating.
His body was covered in bloody wounds, his face deathly pale.
"Father!!" Fang Youzhen stumbled off the carriage, rushing over.
