Qingi took a glance and leaned in to sniff.
"Is this donkey roll?"
"That’s right!" Chu Ping grinned: "From Xijiang Yue’s shop, freshly baked, just for you."
This ti, Qingi didn’t refuse and accepted it cheerfully.
She looked at the oil paper package and said with a smile, "That’s great, the Princess loves snacks from Xijiang Yue, I’ll give it to her in a bit."
Chu Ping was stunned for a mont, "Wha, what!? This was a special treat I brought for you, the Princess’s portion, I’ve already handed over to the Marquis."
Qingi glanced at him, "I don’t like sweets; the Princess loves them, so they’re for her, of course."
Chu Ping had no choice but to nod: "At least taste it, will you? It’s my heartfelt intention..."
Just as he said that, he noticed the water pouch in Qingi’s hand.
"Perfect timing, I’ve rushed back just to bring you this donkey roll, I didn’t even stop for a sip of water, I’m dying of thirst!"
He snatched the water pouch, opened it, and drank like a cow, downing it all in one go!
"Ah!!" Qingi exclaid.
Chu Ping swallowed the water with a gulp and hastily asked, "What’s the matter?"
Qingi frowned, looked at the water pouch, and then at Chu Ping: "Did you drink all of it?"
"Yeah," Chu Ping said, baffled, suddenly realizing in panic, "This isn’t the Princess’s water, is it?"
If the Marquis found out he used the Princess’s water pouch for drinking, he’d be cut into eight pieces and fed to the dogs.
Qingi shook her head: "No, it’s not; it’s just that we don’t know whose water pouch this is, I picked it up and was about to ask around."
Chu Ping sighed in relief.
"Phew, I thought it was sothing serious, just drank a bit of water is all. You can return the pouch to its owner."
Qingi took back the water pouch, looking at it with so disdain.
"Chu Ping, you didn’t even ask before drinking eagerly, who knows if it’s water or sothing dirty inside."
With that, as if unable to tolerate him anymore, Qingi lifted her skirt and walked away quickly.
Chu Ping smacked his lips behind her, savoring whatever taste lingered.
He was quite puzzled: "Isn’t it just ordinary water? Xiao i is too cautious."
However, in the next second, a captivated smile gradually spread across Chu Ping’s face.
"Xiao i must care about , otherwise, why would she worry about drinking unclean water?"
Thinking of this, Chu Ping let out a couple of laughs, satisfied, and walked away rrily.
There were no outsiders in the Xiuluo Guard.
Lu Wang knelt before Feng Fuce’s desk, bowing deeply.
"Lord Demon, I am guilty! I lost the snow water..."
Feng Fuce leaned back in his chair, his long, pale fingers gently spinning the jade ring on his left hand.
Upon hearing this, the youth abruptly raised his cold, dark eyes.
His voice was eerie: "Lost it? Lu Wang, speak frankly, did you lose it on purpose or was it a mistake?"
Lu Wang’s forehead was almost touching the ground, his voice muffled.
"It truly was a lapse of judgnt on my part, I lost it carelessly, please punish !"
Feng Fuce’s eyes suddenly flared with ghostly fire, and behind the youth, black flas roared to life.
He furrowed his brow with anger: "You even make such a small mistake, what use are you?"
Lu Wang did not justify his mistake but humbly kept his head down, waiting for punishnt.
He spoke heavily, "Luckily, I had taken an inconspicuous water pouch, even if soone else picks it up, they won’t discover its secret, nor will they mistakenly drink it."
"I will imdiately head to the Heavenly Mountain and retrieve so more for Lord Demon."
