Alice exited her consciousness and opened her eyes, only to see Quinn grinning back at her.

Alice could only stare at him, then at Lyra, who was still giggling at the sight of Alice’s cracked composure.
"Hah... I don’t have a better explanation for this, but I just can’t process how things turned out this way..." Alice spoke, massaging her temples. But her mind was wandering elsewhere. She was thinking lewdly!

"Hah... I really need so explanation n—" Before Alice could finish, she slumped forward. She had lost consciousness. The strain of the process and the ntal shocks were finally too much for her.
Strangely, Lyra had never lost consciousness; she and Quinn had even started their deed imdiately after!
Quinn, with his lightning fast reflexes, caught Alice before she hit the floor.
"She must be exhausted after everything that happened."
"Mmhmm... let’s bring her back to the bed so she can rest," Lyra suggested.
"Lyra, you should rest too. I know growing a core is agonizing... I experienced it during my Tier-up, and it’s a brutal feeling."

Without a second thought, he scooped both won up, one in each arm.

"Of course not. I could carry you both for eternity, just like our bond." Quinn looked at her, his expression turning serious.
"Cheeky pervert..." Lyra tucked her head into his chest, her face flushing red at his words.
She understood what he ant...Quinn would literally die for them, bleeding out to protect them if he had to. She knew the answer because of their bond, but she still loved hearing him say it out loud.
He laid them down gently on the bed, settling them into comfortable positions. Alice was already deep in sleep, and Lyra drifted off the mont Quinn’s gentle hands began caressing her hair...she was really handful sotis.
