If he were to actually fight soone and use a bit more force, this martial art would truly be a deadly weapon.
’It’s just that using my fists still feels like it’s missing sothing.’
Fang Shuwen pondered for a mont.
’What if I change the Four Seas Dragon Fist into a Fingering Technique?’
’Or just change Stunning Spear to Stunning Finger?’
’When that ti cos and I unleash that finger attack, who could possibly stop it?’
’The only problem is... I’m not an expert in Fingering Techniques.’
At this thought, he rembered Yu Yaoguang.
The martial arts of Yuqing Pavilion focused on Fingering Techniques, and Yu Yaoguang was an outstanding practitioner among them. If he learned from her, he was certain to make so progress.
He was a man of action. Just as he was about to go find Yu Yaoguang, a voice drifted over.
"You smashed my wall to pieces, and you’re just going to leave without a word of explanation?"
Fang Shuwen turned to see Miao Feichan standing beside the gaping hole, a dark expression on her face.
"Ah, Elder Miao. I was just lost in thought over sothing important, so I wasn’t aware of my surroundings. I didn’t notice you co out. My apologies, my apologies."
"Don’t give that!"
Miao Feichan said, her face grim.
"I was standing right in front of you, and you looked right through !
"You did it on purpose."
Fang Shuwen cleared his throat.
"How can you slander my good na with such baseless accusations?
"I saw what I saw. How could you possibly know what I saw, Elder?
"I have urgent business to attend to, so if you’ll excuse ..."
"How dare you! You’re just twisting my words!"
Miao Feichan was furious.
"You’re not going anywhere until you give a proper explanation."
The mont the words left her lips, she flickered and appeared before Fang Shuwen, her hand reaching for his shoulder.
Fang Shuwen dropped his shoulder and thrust out a palm, but the figure in front of him vanished.
His ears twitched as he heard the whistle of wind from all directions. She was too fast to track with his eyes, so he simply closed them and tried to pinpoint her location by sound.
Within monts, a clear trajectory of Miao Feichan’s movents ford in his mind.
He instantly shot out his hand and grabbed!
His five fingers found their mark!
But he couldn’t help but wonder:
’This woman... why is she so soft everywhere?’
He opened his eyes to see Miao Feichan staring down at his hand in utter disbelief.
Fang Shuwen also realized sothing was terribly wrong... because he saw what she was looking down at.
Following her gaze, Fang Shuwen’s eyes flew wide. Miao Feichan then looked up, fixing him with a murderous glare. Fang Shuwen cleared his throat.
"A misunderstanding... I swear, I didn’t do it on purpose..."
Miao Feichan nodded slowly.
"Then why... haven’t you let go!?"
Fang Shuwen hastily let go and instinctively wiped his hand on his clothes.
Miao Feichan’s face, which had been pale with rage, now flushed beet red.
"You’re wiping your hand?
"Am I dirty??"
"That’s not what I ant!"
Fang Shuwen frantically shook his head. ’What is this ss?’ he thought.
’I was just trying out a new move and accidentally broke a wall...’
’Miao Feichan coming over to argue with wasn’t a big deal, really. I could just treat it as a light warm-up.’
’Who would have thought that to deal with Miao Feichan’s impossibly fast Lightweight Technique, I’d close my eyes, grab randomly, and then...’
’How am I supposed to explain this now?’
’I’ve really done it this ti. I’ve probably mortally offended the world’s number one master of the Lightweight Technique, haven’t I?’
Miao Feichan shot Fang Shuwen a vicious glare.
"Just you wait!"
With that, she tapped her foot and her figure vanished without a trace.
Fang Shuwen watched her disappear. There was nothing he could do but scratch his head. Finally, he glanced down at his palm and sighed.
’No wonder she’s so soft...’
’Ah, no, I an—ugh, what a ss. I offended soone first thing in the morning.
’What a run of bad luck.’
He shook his head and decided to go bother Yu Yaoguang.
He wanted to ask for her guidance on Fingering Techniques.
But after he stepped outside, he realized he had no idea where Yu Yaoguang actually lived.
Just then, a bell suddenly tolled.
It was followed by another, and another.
A loud voice shouted:
"All disciples on duty, do not abandon your posts.
"All other disciples, assemble in the square before the main hall and await orders!"
In that instant, the entire Yuqing Pavilion sprang into action.
The disciples who had risen early had been going about their mornings—so were heading to the dining hall for breakfast, others were chatting and laughing in small groups, and so were clutching martial arts manuals, intending to return to their studies.
But at that mont, no matter what they were doing, they all leaped into the air.
They all rushed toward the square before the main hall.
Fang Shuwen heard the nine tolls of the bell and knew that the mbers of the Hundred Ghosts Hall and the Dragon Emperor Hall had most likely arrived.
He figured, however, that they had seriously miscalculated this ti.
They had co to provoke Yuqing Pavilion. When Yu Yaoguang didn’t appear, they must have assud she was too seriously injured to fight.
They had no idea that he had saved her.
They would be lucky to escape with only a humiliating defeat; it was entirely possible they would be completely annihilated.
With these thoughts in mind, he also made his way toward the square before the main hall.
But as he walked, his brow furrowed slightly.
’Wait...’
He suddenly felt as if he had overlooked sothing important.
He pondered as he walked, but no matter how he wracked his brain, he couldn’t put his finger on it.
When he arrived at the square, he saw Yu Yaoguang standing on the highest platform, as well as Zhou Qingi and Zuo Qingshuang in the crowd.
Zhou Qingi imdiately waved him over.
Fang Shuwen went over to her, and just as he was about to speak, he heard Zhou Qingi say with a laugh:
"The Hundred Ghosts Hall and the Dragon Emperor Hall are dood this ti. They’re on a one-way trip.
"They would never have dread that not only are you in Yuqing Pavilion now, but Sect Leader Yu has also recovered from her injuries."
She said the words casually, but they struck Fang Shuwen’s mind like a bolt of lightning.
He instantly realized what it was he had overlooked.
