Fang Shuwen raised his hand and killed, his movents casual, as if he hadn’t killed a man but rely crushed an ant on the roadside.
This scene left Shopkeeper Sun and the others completely dumbfounded.
They never could have imagined that such a kind-looking and courteous young man could slaughter n with such ease.
As for the n besieging Lin Fan, they had been on the verge of success. But they hadn’t expected Fang Shuwen to appear out of nowhere and block their path, and their montum instantly faltered.
One of them, thoroughly unwilling to give up, roared furiously:
"You’re courting death, kid!!
"Two more of you, go kill him and capture that girl! The rest of you, do everything you can to hold back Lin Fan!"
Although this group was hardly united, they knew that at this point, if they didn’t work together, their chances of getting the Purple Nether Sword were nil.
Imdiately, four or five figures charged toward Fang Lingxin.
This just went to show that the group had no unified command.
The man had called for two, but five had rushed out. Each of them was thinking the sa thing: ’If I can get my hands on Fang Lingxin, can’t I use her to blackmail Lin Fan?’
’The Purple Nether Sword will be within my grasp. Why would I need to bother with anyone else?’
However, these n didn’t dare to be careless.
Fang Shuwen had just struck with lightning speed; his movents had been so fast they hadn’t even registered them.
But they recognized the man Fang Shuwen had casually crushed to death. His Martial Arts were by no ans inferior to their own.
A direct confrontation was out of the question. Besides, their target wasn’t Fang Shuwen, but Fang Lingxin.
Thus, the five n exchanged a look and imdiately broke formation, rushing in from five different directions.
But before they could even get close, Fang Shuwen had already struck out with two palms.

His palms struck left and right. The two n at the forefront didn’t even get close before his Palm Power pierced through their chests, killing them in mid-air.
Then, with a shift of his Palm Technique, Fang Shuwen sent a wave of Piercing Void Palm Power flying toward another man.
That man was completely unprepared. He felt his body jolt, and everyone present heard a sound like ripping silk. The man’s body suddenly split apart, as if he had been cleaved in two by an invisible blade in mid-air.
But at that very mont, the last two n had skirted the edges and reached Fang Lingxin’s side, one from the left and one from the right.
Just as they were about to succeed, they felt their bodies freeze.
An invisible force seized them, pulling them and forcing them to involuntarily change direction in mid-air. They were now hurtling side-by-side toward Fang Shuwen.
The two n flailed frantically, trying to break free, but it was useless.
In their utter horror, they landed in Fang Shuwen’s grasp. He activated the North Nether Divine Technique, and their Inner Strength was instantly and completely drained. He then slamd their heads together.
With a sickening THUD, their two heads were smashed to a pulp.
Fang Lingxin’s face turned deathly pale as she watched.
She knew Fang Shuwen’s Martial Arts were strong. Back in Guangning City, she had once seen him practice, his power causing the shadows of the trees to sway.
But she had never imagined his Martial Arts would be *this* powerful.
These Jianghu people who had co looking for trouble with Lin Fan were all formidable in her eyes. Yet in Fang Shuwen’s hands, they were as fragile as clay chickens and ceramic dogs.
Moreover, she realized that when Fang Shuwen killed, he barely even paid attention to his victims.
It was as if the lives he snuffed out weren’t even worthy of a second glance.
Boss Geng was now drenched in a cold sweat.

Suddenly, he asked Shopkeeper Sun in a low voice:
"This... gentleman... do you know his na or origin?"
Shopkeeper Sun nodded repeatedly. When Fang Shuwen had asked him for information earlier, they had exchanged nas. He imdiately replied:
"His na is Fang Shuwen."
Boss Geng froze for a mont. The na felt familiar, yet he couldn’t place it.
Suddenly, he recalled a rumor he’d heard not long ago, and his mind went completely blank with a loud BUZZ!
’He’s *that* murderous fiend? The one who single-handedly slaughtered hundreds of masters outside Flying Snow City, leaving no survivors?!’
At this mont, Boss Geng was beyond just sweating.
He felt a chill shoot up from the base of his spine to the crown of his head.
The hand gripping his sword couldn’t help but tremble.
His teeth began to CLATTER against each other...
Shopkeeper Sun looked at him, puzzled.
"What’s wrong with you? Did you suddenly fall ill?"
The portly shopkeeper couldn’t help but feel anxious himself.
The events of tonight were far beyond the control of a simple rchant like him.
’If sothing happens to Boss Geng, the very man I’m relying on for protection... then, then what am I supposed to do?’
Boss Geng’s face darkened.
’And whose fault is this but yours?’
’How could you just let anyone into the caravan?’
’First Lin Fan, carrying the Purple Nether Demon Sword.’
’And now Fang Shuwen, a murderous fiend...’
If it were just Lin Fan, he wouldn’t be this terrified.
But this Fang Shuwen... he was truly bone-chilling!
If it weren’t for his professional honor in the Jianghu, he would have abandoned his post and run as far away as he could!
Fang Shuwen paid little attention to the situation with Boss Geng and Shopkeeper Sun.

He walked over to Fang Lingxin.
"Did you rember what I told you earlier?"
Fang Lingxin looked at Fang Shuwen, her emotions a strange mixture.
Logically, she should have been terrified by his remorseless killing.
And yet, for so reason, she couldn’t bring herself to feel afraid. It was as if just by standing next to him, she was enveloped in an imnse sense of security.
