Nier was standing in his room. The day’s still early.
His mind went over the six new spells in his body and the two passive spells now in his arsenal.
Dismissal Slash...and Division.
These were spells that were always on.
Kaly, on the other hand, drifted down from his shoulder, her tiny hooves never touching ground, as she hovered three feet away, keeping Nier at eye-level.
As she began to speak.
"Well, there is only one way to know, darling."
"I guess so."
"Hahaha, now then, to make this properly work, I will really need to give birth to a deep-rooted hate within towards you."
Nier nodded in agreent as he responded.
"Let's do it your way then."
The shift in opposition was instantaneous.
At those words, Kaly's gentle, motherly smile split into sothing horrific, before her eyes, teeth began elongating into jagged crystal shards, her eyes bleeding into crimson light.
A dark and red aura began to leak from her, warping the space around her, as she began to give birth to a phenonon in order to weaponize it against Nier. A series of fractal spears of crystal began manifesting seemingly out of nothing.
They locked onto him, and anything these crystals get in contact with gets automatically rewrote. Anything they touched would crystallize, petrify, and beco like them.
Her love inverted. A tidal wave of disgust crashed over him, thick and choking.
Kaly’s killing intent was set on him.
"Diiiiiie!"
She lunged with clear anger, and then...
SHNK!!!
A loud cutting sound was heard, as Kaly's body froze mid-air, a perfect vertical line bisecting her from crown to crotch.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!"
She screeched in pain.
For a heartbeat, she hung there, her expression still twisted in loathing. Then the halves peeled apart like theater curtains, tumbling in slow motion.
Warm blood rained in glittering arcs as her corpse hit the ground with a wet splash.
"Wow, it worked."
Nier said as he looked at the dead body of Kaly.
She was split clean in half by an invisible blade. But just as soon as she died, where her corpse lay bloodied, reality began to glitch around it, and so too did her dead form, before she glitched back properly into existence.
Almost as if her death had been nothing more than a re error.
But now, her wound was healed.
"Hah, not bad. Not bad at all."
Kaly said while looking at Nier.
Nier, on the other hand, opened his hands and began to manipulate the blood within his body. The blood swelled and burst out of his flesh, making a wide series of gaping holes in his hands and his left arm, and from those holes, black vines with red thorns made their exit.
They twirled and wrapped around everything within sight, as they started to grip Nier's bed, lifting the large structure into the air with ease.
He could feel the strength within the vines.
And also the hunger of each of them, as they each harbored imnse hunger for flesh and blood.
"This also works too, hahaha, nice, nice, nice!"
Nier said to himself, moving around the black vines with his mind and will, it was like a series of additional limbs.
"And they feel natural as well. As if they have always been a part of ." Nier comnted.
On the other hand, Kaly, who was now healed up, looked at Nier and said while placing a thumb up,
"With that, you're all set. Now you just need to finish getting ready."
"Hmmm, yeah, I got sothing in mind."
Saying that, Nier began to get ready. What he was going to wear was sothing rather simple.
He wore stylish long black jeans with cuts in them, and a black jacket with a skull picture on it as he pulled the hood over his head, covering his face in darkness.
From the hole of it, you could see his glowing red eyes.
On his feet were stylish black and red sneakers.
"There."
He comnted after tying his laces.
"Ohhh, you do look good in that."
"Of course I do. Now then, let us try this new spell out as well."
Nier said as he walked to the window, and there he saw Bella sitting near the pool on one of the benches. She seed lost in thought, deep in her own world.
"Let's play a little prank on our guest, shall we?"
Said Nier as he turned away from the window and looked behind him, looking at the center of the room, and in the next instance, a tear in space suddenly manifested.
And Nier walked through it.
Bella had been staring at the water, chin in her hand, when the air in front of her ripped open with a loud sound like tearing canvas. A cold gust slapped her face. Her phone slipped from her fingers and clattered onto the concrete.
Nier stepped out less than two feet away.
She jerked backward so hard the bench screeched against the ground. One of her heels caught the edge of the seat; she windmilled, arms flailing, and landed on her hip with a sharp gasp.
The impact knocked the breath from her lungs.
Her eyes were wide, her pupils blown with shock, and her chest was heaving. For a split second, she just stared, her mouth open, as she felt like her brain was short-circuiting in that mont.
Then the words exploded out in a cracked, breathless rush.
"Holy shit, Nier, what the fuck…! Where the hell did you just-? Jesus Christ, dude!"
She scrambled to her knees, one hand clutching her chest like her heart might punch through her ribs, the other slapping the ground for her phone. Her voice cracked on the last word, a combination of laughing and sobbing, as the adrenaline was making her body shake.
Seeing her scared reaction, Nier began to chuckle as he said, while tapping her shoulder.
"Fufufufu, I was only ssing around, woman. No need to get all jumpy on . Still, what's on your mind? You look oddly worried for so reason."
"Ha, oh, ahhh, nothing. Just thinking about so personal matters."
"You know I am here to talk if you need to, ya know."
"Ah, yeah, I know you are, but really, it is okay. Besides, I am more curious now than I am worried about anything else. What the fuck is that thing?"
Bella looked at the weird floating abstract form tip in space. It was glowing purple with blue distortion around it as its outline. She got up and looked at it, and to her surprise, it just floated there.
Nier folded his hands as he answered honestly.
"It is a spatial gate. It is one of my abilities; pay it no mind. It basically allows to cross vast distances by creating gates that bore holes between two points to reach a destination quickly."
"So you can do shit like this, too, huh? How fascinating…"
Bella comnted as she watched the gate disappear, as each gate can only stay open for 30 seconds at a ti.
At the sa ti, a voice echoed to the side of the two. In the distance, Marcy approached them.
This caused Bella to internally sigh.
'This tramp can't read between the fucking lines, it would seem?'
Bella said to herself as she looked at Marcy with utter disgust.
anwhile, Marcy gave Bella an equally annoyed look as she looked at Nier and smiled while saying.
"Ha, when did you reach out here? I didn't even see you leave your room."
"Oh, that i because I teleported here."
"You did what now?"
Marcy asked with a raised brow, but suddenly Bella began to reach for Nier's side, holding his hand as she looked at him and said.
"That aside, handso, are you ready to leave?"
"Oh yeah, my bad, sure. Let just get the car ready."
"Take your ti."
Bella said as Nier began to ready his Phantom.
anwhile, Bella shot Marcy a venomous glare while Nier headed to the garage to prep his car.
"Honestly, you gothic bitch, can you read the atmosphere? I don't like you. Why the fuck are you even coming with us? A normal peasant like you has no place among us supernatural elite."
"What the fuck is your problem? I don't even know you like that, and you've been at my throat since the day you fucking talked to ."
"My problem is you whores traipsing around my man, that is what."
"Your man… Ha, wait...
Marcy's eyes widened in mock shock, her lips curling into a razor grin.
"You and Nier are dating?"
"No, not yet. But we will. And the sooner you and that whore of a mother of yours crawl out of this place, the faster and my man can build our little love nest."
Marcy threw her head back and cackled, the sound sharp enough to cut glass.
"Oh my God, how priceless. Bella fucking Zane, in love with the sa man my mother has been fucking for days now, and yet she is the one feeling intimidated? Hahah, how fucking funny is this?"
