Diaz: [Hey, I'm outside]

Marcy: [Ha, wait—what? Why are you here? I told you I was going to catch a bus]

Diaz: [What? Can't I co see my own girlfriend? Don't tell you're too busy hanging out with your billionaire stepdad]

Marcy: […Asshole. Sigh. Look, I don't think we should rob him. This guy's loaded, and he is my mom's current boyfriend. Plus, from what my mom says, he leaves cash lying around his room all the ti. We'll have plenty of chances to take advantage of that later. So why the hell are you outside right now]

Diaz: [What a buzzkill. Can't I just say hi to my future father-in-law]

Marcy: [If it wasn't obvious from my tone, he is definitely not going to like you]

Diaz: [Ooh, scary. I just want to say hi]

Marcy kept texting back and forth with Diaz while sighing to herself. Finally, she sent one last ssage before heading out.

Marcy: [I'll be there. Give a minute]

With that, Marcy left the Association building to go et her boyfriend outside.

Marcy walked through the heavy glass doors of the Association building, the cool but hot afternoon air hitting her face as she stepped outside.

And the mont she did, she spotted him imdiately.

Diaz leaned against the side of a massive, jacked-up monster truck that looked like it belonged on a demolition derby track rather than a city street.

Black and neon blue rims glinted under the streetlights, tires taller than she was, and the whole thing was painted dark black with streaks of electric blue that matched the color of his bandana.

He was impossible to miss.

Diaz was shirtless under an open black leather vest, every inch of visible skin covered in sharp, detailed tattoos, skulls wrapped in roses, praying hands dripping blood, a crowned Virgin Mary on his chest, and curling script across his collarbones that read Muerte Antes Que Deshonor in bold Old English letters.

Thick gold chains, four or five of them, hung heavy around his neck, catching the light of the sun every ti he moved.

A diamond-studded cross the size of a fist dangled from the longest chain, resting against his sternum.

His arms were sleeved in ink, gold bracelets stacked on both wrists, and a single large hoop earring glinted in his left ear. He looked every bit the king of the block he claid to be.

Around the truck, his crew lounged like they owned the whole street.

However in a place like this being full to brim with powerhouses beyond their imagination they just looks like slightly better tugs.

Three girls sat on the hood, tight crop tops, long acrylic nails, gold hoops, and glossy lips, were all laughing at sothing one of the guys had said.

Two more boys leaned against the oversized fenders, one rolling a blunt, the other scrolling on his phone with a Glock tucked visibly into the front of his jeans. Music thumped low from the truck's speakers.

From afar Diaz saw her coming and straightened up, flashing a crooked grin.

"Bout ti, mami."

He called out to Marcy.

"With the way you were talking to on the phone, I thought you were gonna leave hanging."

Marcy rolled her eyes, but walk up towards Diaz.

"Sigh. I thought it was just gonna be you. Why the hell did you bring the whole circus?"

She asked, palming her face as she glanced toward the truck and the people around it.

Diaz shrugged, his gold chains clinking together.

"What, you thought I was gonna roll up solo like so la-ass civilian? Nah, I got a lot of enemies out here mami. That is why and my crew ride deep in these streets. I refuse to be caught lacking."

He said out loud, anwhile one of the girls perched on the hood...tall, with neon-green streaks in her hair, looked Marcy up and down, then gave Diaz a knowing look as she began to speak.

"This the one you been talkin bout, baby?"

"BABY!?"

Marcy said with clear malice as she glared at the new girl sitting on the hood of the truck, then back at Diaz.

"Who the fuck is this!?"

"Ohh, feisty little thing she is indeed."

Diaz didn't break eye contact with Marcy, nor did he acknowledge the girl's words. He feigned ignorance as he responded to Marcy.

"Hahaha… Yeah. This my girl Silk. Marcy, et Silk. She is a new mber of Los Diablo, and my new second in command."

"Chow"

Silk said, holding up a peace sign.

Marcy however crossed her arms, visibly annoyed now, but tried to ignore Silk. She made her displeasure clear as she spoke.

"I'm not your girl when you pull dumb shit like this. You're supposed to be low-key, rember? I told you I was here with my mom's boyfriend."

At Marcy words, he laughed, deep and unbothered, then pushed off the truck and closed the distance between them in a couple of lazy steps. Up close, he slled like weed and expensive cologne.

"Hey now, mami, don't be like that. You know I love you, right? Still, being low-key isn't really my style. That aside, I'm quite curious about your new step-dad."

His voice dropped lower.

"Besides… I missed you."

He reached out, hooked a finger under the chain of her necklace, and gave it a light tug.

"But business before pleasure… So are you gonna let say hi to the rich step-daddy or what?"

Marcy swatted his hand away, but not hard.

"He is not here right now. He is taking his exam for a legal license. And even if he was here, he sure as hell wouldn't like you."

Diaz grinned wider, showing the gold grill on his bottom teeth.

"Hmmm, well, I am quite the likable soul if he gets to know , you know. Besides, I'm dating his cute daughter."

"Your sweet-talking won't work on . Anyway, we should really go."

"Co on, I just want to say hi. What is so bad about that?"

"No ans no, asshole. Read the room. Also, Bella Zane is with him. Do you honestly think you can handle her? And Nier is her active bodyguard right now, and I can attest for him being quite the strong human."

"Oh, hehehe, so you say. The problem is however is that I just find it hard to believe."

Diaz said, folding his arms.

"Why the hell would I tell such an unbelievable lie? Besides, you live in the sa neighborhood as . You, better than anyone else, should know that hardly anyone knows anything about Nier. He doesn't hang around, speak, or converse with anyone. And when he does, it's with people who aren't even part of our neighborhood. So what the hell do you even know about him?"

"So you're saying just because I don't know him, I should just believe he is Bella Zane's bodyguard? I'll believe it when I see it."

Diaz shot back, and Marcy snapped.

"Are you seriously thinking I'm lying to you? Do you really think I would just say…”

"Hey, baby, sorry for jumping in between your lovers quarrel, but are we doing the plan for the heist or not?"

"Heist?!"

Marcy questioned, and Diaz scratched his head, explaining.

"Jesus Christ, Silk, you don't give a man ti to explain jack shit."

"Because you're also wasting my ti."

"Ahhh, if you weren't so powerful, I would have you shot for talking to like that. But oh well, I guess you're right, all this fighting isn't getting us nowhere."

Diaz said while scratching his head, clearly annoyed.

And Marcy didn't make it any better, as she snaps at him, by asking him the obvious.

"Diaz, what the fuck is going on?"

Marcy asked, and Diaz replied.

"Well, you see, earlier you said this guy had a whole lot of expensive shit in his house. We were thinking of robbing him."

"WHATTTT!?"

"Diaz, wh-what the fuck? I thought I said I would convince him to try sponsoring , which benefits us, that way we can earn more in the long run, than we would in the short."

"Hehehe, that was the plan, but you know, you said it yourself: he isn't gonna like us, and what we do. Besides, we wanted you to help us with this."

"Help you? Why would I help you?"

"Well for one, it is because I said so. Besides, your job isn't even hard. All you really have to do is locate all the expensive shit in his house, help us get a map of the surroundings, and open the gate to his yard. That way we can do a quick, professional job. Look, I even got a very rich buyer who is actually extrely interested in the Featherburn estate for so reason."

"You're going to get into trouble."

"That is why we have Silk here. Believe it or not, Silk is a Hesta like myself. She has the uncanny ability to erase her presence from the world to the point she can phase through physical reality. All you really need to do is get a good grasp of the surroundings for us. After we collect that information, she'll retrieve anything profitable inside the mansion."

"I can't do that, Diaz. You're going to get in serious trouble. Besides, that place has a lot of caras and an AI system that keeps track of everything 24/7."

"Stop bitching, will ya? This is gonna be big paper if we succeed. And besides you act as if this is the first ti we haven't lured so rich idiot into a tight spot."

"AHHH, LOOK, DIAZ!!"

Marcy snapped, taking everyone by surprise.

"Like I said before, no ans no. I'm not going through with this stupid plan. Ahh, you're so intolerable sotis. Look, I'm going to go. You're clearly out of your mind right now. Co find when you start talking sense."

She shouted as she turned around and started walking away from Diaz. However, she suddenly stopped when she felt a firm grip on her hand.

It was Diaz, who had grabbed her as he said.

"Hey now, and where do you think you're going?"

"Ha, don't hey , asshole. Let go of ."

SNATCH!!

Diaz's grip tightened around Marcy's wrist as she tried to pull back, but she found herself unable to break free.

"Aww, let go, you hurting Diaz."

"Shut up, Marcy."

Diaz said coldly, his grip tightening as he spoke.

"We finally have a good source of profit, and now you're just gonna walk away? Oh no, I don't think so."

"Let go now, Diaz."

"Or what?"

He shouted back, clearly pissed at Marcy's behavior.

"If you don't let go, I swear to God I will fucking scream. I'm not playing."

Diaz looked Marcy dead in the eye and sighed as he finally let her go.

Marcy stord off, pissed as hell, while Silk watched her retreating back and said.

"Man, she is a total bitch."

"That's Marcy for ya, girl."

Eveta said to Silk as she turned to face her.

Eveta was wearing a black bra top with long, baggy white-and-black military pants, along with black military boots. She was sitting beside Silk on the hood, her silver hair styled in long twin pigtails that fluttered in the cool afternoon breeze. She had tan skin and tribal tattoos on her arms, and on her hands were black combat gloves.

Silk looked at her and placed both hands behind her head as she lay back on the hood of the large truck.

"…Why does Diaz even date that bitch anyway? Last I heard, she only lets him do her in the ass."

"The boss loves stuck-up types like her, sadly."

One large-built dude comnted.

"Cinco, right?"

Silk said, looking at the tall Spanish man.

"Sí, baby."

"Hmm, tell —do you know anything about this Nier guy?"

"Hmmm, dark story with that one. He is a rich guy whose family has lived in our neighborhood since the start. His mother was said to be a programr and inventor, and his father so kind of retired doctor. You could say the Featherburn family lived a lavish life. However, one day both his parents killed themselves, and since then no one has managed to get close to the new head of the household. He always keeps to himself."

"Jesus Christ."

Silk said after hearing the story of the Featherburn family.

anwhile, Eveta began to speak.

"Now Diaz’s cunt of a girlfriend's mom sohow managed to seduce the local rich guy. It is safe to say she and her family are essentially set for life."

"What an interesting turn of events, though. But being a rich bitch is definitely gonna make that cunt even more insufferable."

"Sadly so."

Eveta replied.

However, Cinco spoke up, catching both their attention.

"Diaz, where are you going?!"

"I'm going to talk to her in private. Wait here...I'll be back in no ti."
