Clang!

At the edge of the district, with a resounding crash, the already fragile Magical Barrier finally shattered completely, vanishing without a trace.

"It's unlocked!"

"Aweso!"

Bai Jingxuan couldn't help but smile, her voice tinged with excitent as she cheered softly. Beside her, Moko threw her arms around her, celebrating their mission's success together.

Slumped nearby, Tian Sheng stared at the dissipating Magical Barrier, his heart—long held in suspense—finally finding relief. He let out a deep breath, and then, with a faint smile, passed out.

He had been holding on for far too long.

Bai Jingxuan, still caught in her excitent, quickly noticed this. She opened her mouth to say sothing, but before she could check on Tian Sheng, a tremor rippled through the district. In the next mont, an eruption of fla-like magic ignited the surroundings.

Blinding white Magical Light flooded the area. The brilliant radiance was like the sun descending upon them, yet it did not scorch. Instead, it brought a comforting warmth, filling those within its reach with reassurance and strength.

But unlike the civilians, the Ravager-infested man felt an overwhelming sense of suppression. His entire body froze, his magic turning cold and stagnant. He recoiled instinctively, as though he had encountered his natural predator.

This was sothing completely abnormal. Yet, having already transford into a Ravager, his dulled senses failed to recognize it.

He continued his previous course of action, leaping forward with all his might—his target: Lin Xiaolu.

Evading the white magic that filled the air, he launched a reckless, self-sacrificial assault. His razor-sharp claws slashed straight for Lin Xiaolu’s throat, aiming to take her life in a single, decisive strike.

But he failed.

As he lunged toward her, he suddenly noticed a pair of glowing white eyes locked onto him.

Lin Xiaolu's heart burned with fury, yet her mind remained clear.

This mysterious white Magical Light was unfamiliar to her. She had no idea how to wield it. But in the face of battle, as the Ravager's attack approached, a response surfaced in her mind—effortless, instinctive, perfect.

Her eyes reflected the Ravager’s savage, nacing figure.

But she wasn’t just seeing this Ravager.

In that mont, she was transported back to that fateful night at Wetland Park—to another Ravager with slashing claws, to another death blow aid at her throat. It was as if she had stepped once more into the jaws of death, facing the beast that had nearly taken her life.

She could still feel the cold grip of the wand in her hand. That mory was crystal clear.

She rembered how Veronica had stood before an enemy much larger than herself and blocked every single attack with nothing but her wand.

"Watch closely—this is my battle."

That was what Veronica had said the first ti they t.

For Lin Xiaolu, that was the beginning of everything.

And now, standing in a mont eerily similar to that past encounter, she felt ready to give her own answer.

Could she do it?

She didn't know for sure.

But she had to.

She had undergone structured training. She had gained real battle experience. She was no longer the person she used to be.

So, as the lethal claws neared her throat—

She raised her wand.

Clang!

The wand held firm against the Ravager’s strike.

“Rraaaghh!!”

Furious that its attack had been stopped, the Ravager let out a guttural roar and raised its other claw, swinging it directly at Lin Xiaolu’s head.

She twisted her body, smoothly withdrawing her wand from beneath the Ravager’s first claw. In a fluid motion, she redirected its angle and struck sideways at the Ravager’s wrist.

Clang!

Once again, she blocked the attack.

Her Magical Light-filled eyes granted her extraordinary clarity of vision. The sheer power of the magic coursing through her body enhanced her physical strength, allowing her Seed-tier physique to hold its own against the Ravager’s brute force.

Her small fra seed to contain boundless power.

Bathed in white flas, she engaged in the most direct, primal form of combat with the Ravager.

Her gaze sharp and unyielding, Lin Xiaolu entered a state of absolute focus, blocking each incoming strike with unwavering precision. Then, as soon as the Ravager's stance faltered—

She thrust the tip of her wand forward.

Brilliant white magic gathered at its point, forming a blazing Magic Beam that shot straight into the Ravager’s arm.

“Gyaaaooohhh!!”

The beam pierced through its flesh, eliciting an agonized howl.

Enraged by the searing pain, the Ravager refused to back down. It accelerated, attempting to launch a surprise attack from behind—

But Lin Xiaolu, as if guided by instinct, raised her wand over her shoulder.

The Ravager’s claws crashed against the wand—completely intercepted.

The seamless chain of actions—so natural, so precise—seed to carry the shadow of another warrior.

"So this… is what it ans to see."

She murmured to herself before refocusing, pulling back her wand, and striking the Ravager’s jaw with a decisive blow.

White magic surged through the impact point—

And another Magic Beam shot straight into the Ravager’s shoulder.

Shhkk!

This ti, its entire arm was blown off.

“Rrraagghhh!!”

The sheer agony finally snapped the Ravager out of its primal frenzy. It no longer acted solely on destruction and bloodlust—it now understood fear.

Becoming a Ravager by fusing with Beast’s Core ca at a cost. Not only did it shorten lifespan, but it also caused complete bestial regression—reducing intelligence drastically.

This regression was a double-edged sword. It heightened battle instincts, sharpening reflexes. But it also impaired judgnt, making it nearly impossible to assess enemy strength.

A Ravager’s instincts did not include self-preservation. It lived only for slaughter—unless it was on the verge of death.

And now—

Faced with Lin Xiaolu’s white magic, it finally felt absolute terror.

Her power effortlessly tore through its once-impenetrable defenses. The purple-black Ravager magic recoiled from the white flas, shrinking away as if refusing to co into contact with it.

For the first ti, instinct overrode rage.

It howled—then turned and fled.

Not expecting the sudden retreat, Lin Xiaolu fired several Magic Beams at its back. But even as they struck, the Ravager kept running.

She frowned, ready to give chase—

But then, a mirror was placed in front of her.

Turning her head, she spotted Xia Liang lying on the ground, eyes half-open. With a sly grin, Xia Liang made a chopping gesture with her hand.

"Hit it with sothing nasty," she said.

Looking ahead, Lin Xiaolu noticed six mirrors had already been set up along the Ravager’s escape route, arranged at precise angles leading straight to it.

"Now you're holding grudges?" she asked.

Xia Liang adjusted her position to lie more comfortably, smiling.

"This is just business."

And with that—

Blazing Magical Light surged into the mirrors.

The first mirror caught the beam and reflected it, sending it bouncing between each subsequent mirror at lightning speed—until it finally converged on the fleeing Ravager.

This ti, the Magic Beam tore straight through its chest.

"Rrraaaghhh!!"

The purple-black magic bled out of its body, its monstrous form shrinking as it reverted back to human shape.

And as he fled—

A blue cot streaked through the sky toward him.

As he fled, a blue cot streaked through the sky, closing in fast.

The man's Ravager transformation was nearly undone—his massive, four-to-five-ter-tall fra had shrunk to just over two ters, like a balloon rapidly deflating. His appearance had turned sowhat comical, but he had no ti to care about that.

His face twisted with urgency as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop, desperately escaping toward the city's outskirts.

"One city, two Sacrifices… and a mysterious Magical Girl. There’s definitely sothing else hidden in Fangting City."

His mind raced with thoughts as he murmured to himself.

"This… this is a huge find. I have to survive. I have to bring this information back to Moth—then I'll beco even stronger…"

But mid-stride, his words suddenly stopped.

A strange sensation prickled at him.

In the distant sky, a bright blue light flickered.

"Blue?"

His expression darkened.

He had spent his entire mission carefully avoiding one particular target. But now, with Lin Xiaolu behind him and no ti to turn back, an encounter was inevitable.

At that speed, the approaching figure would reach him in just over ten seconds. There was no escape.

Driven by sheer survival instinct, he hastily crafted a plan.

His eyes swept across the city streets below, noting the dense crowd of civilians.

A strategy took form in his mind.

If he could blend into the crowd, his pursuer would hesitate. Magical Girls wouldn’t recklessly unleash large-scale attacks in a civilian area.

Better yet—if he pretended to attack his pursuer, they’d be forced to defend themselves. He could use that mont of distraction to dive into the crowd and disappear.

A twisted grin spread across his face.

The next mont, the blue light closed in.

He steeled his resolve—and jumped.

As he launched upward, he fired a flurry of purple-black Magic Bullets at his opponent, hoping to force them into a defensive position. At the sa ti, he abruptly altered his trajectory, plumting downward toward the streets.

But his plan ended right there.

BOOM!

A blazing blue streak tore through the sky—piercing straight through his body.

The energy surge hit him before he could even react.

A burst of azure magic engulfed him, the sheer force splitting his body in two.

His severed torso spun midair, eyes wide in disbelief as he caught a final glimpse of his attacker.

A single thought surfaced in his mind—

"Leaf-tier?!"

And then, his consciousness faded to nothing.

The blue cot ca to an abrupt halt in midair.

Erging from the glowing magic stream, a petite, blue-haired girl pressed a hand against her forehead, sighing. She gave her wand a flick, shaking off the Ravager’s blood with visible disgust.

“Ugh. Disgusting pest.”
