On the road, Song Guanchao called Lu Feng and asked them to co over.

Last ti, Lu Feng and his team ca intending to catch Guo Tong for questioning.

However, an unexpected event ant they couldn't put their plan into action.

After that, Song Guanchao asked them to stay in Jiangzhou for the ti being, rather than going back.

After hanging up the phone, Song Guanchao lowered the car window, letting the warm wind blow in while pondering if he should have Lu Feng and his team settle down in Jiangzhou.

He couldn't keep calling them over temporarily each ti; it's inconvenient.

Besides, Jiangzhou is better in every aspect compared to Lingjiang, with more developnt prospects.

At 9:50 PM, Song Guanchao arrived at the location set by Tan Xiang.

It was a tea house.

The fact that it was still open at this hour suggests it's operated by Tan Xiang herself.

He parked the car and looked around but didn't spot Xu Chengcheng's Bentley.

Unsure whether Xu Chengcheng drove himself or took a cab, he decided to stay inside instead of getting out.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, he saw Xu Chengcheng's Bentley pull up.

Xu Chengcheng wore a flashy white suit.

His hair was styled with gel.

I must say, at forty-so years old, he didn't look greasy at all.

Wealth certainly helps; only with money can one afford to groom oneself.

Xu Chengcheng didn't recognize Song Guanchao's car, so he got out, locked his car, and headed towards the tea house.

Shortly afterward, Lu Feng and his team arrived.

Song Guanchao approached and exchanged a few words with Lu Feng, then headed toward the tea house.

Xu Chengcheng was quite surprised when he received the call.

He had been coveting Tan Xiang for a long ti, yet despite his advances, Tan Xiang remained unmoved.

If it was another woman, Xu Chengcheng might have simply thrown money to make her co around.

But Tan Xiang was different; she was a big shot in the underworld.

He had always followed the principle of cooperation, avoiding trouble over petty desires.

Thus, regarding Tan Xiang, getting her would be best, but not getting her didn't bother him much.

"President Tan, inviting out this late can't be just for a simple cup of tea, right?"

Xu Chengcheng leaned back in his chair, smiling as he asked.

Tan Xiang replied, "A friend asked to invite you."

She hadn't ntioned this over the phone.

"Which friend?" As soon as he asked, the private room door swung open.

Looking back, he slightly froze upon seeing Song Guanchao.

Tan Xiang introduced, "Director of the City Governnt Office, Song Guanchao."

"So it's Director Song." Xu Chengcheng restrained his surprise, roughly guessing what it was about.

Song Guanchao seed to have taken a hit tonight and specifically asked Tan Xiang to invite him out.

Probably worried that if he knew it was Song Guanchao who wanted to et, he might refuse to co, so he kept it secret over the phone.

Xu Chengcheng thought he had figured out Song Guanchao's purpose, keeping a slight smile on his face.

Being invited via a middleman indicated fear.

"President Tan." Song Guanchao nodded slightly at her, then walked over to Xu Chengcheng, pulled out a chair, and sat down.

Tan Xiang placed a cup of tea in front of him; Song Guanchao took it, downed it in one go, and then turned to Xu Chengcheng: "Mr. Xu isn't very respectful of rules."

Xu Chengcheng pushed the teacup away, stood up, fiddling with his suit jacket's buttons, without looking at him: "It seems Director Song isn't here for a conversation."

Saying nothing more, he turned to leave.

"Sit down." Song Guanchao said without looking up.

Xu Chengcheng hesitated, turned back and glanced at him, smiling slyly: "Director Song is talking to ?"

"Sit down." Song Guanchao said: "Don't make say it a third ti."

"Interesting."

Ignoring him, Xu Chengcheng strode out.

Tan Xiang frowned deeply.

What exactly was Song Guanchao trying to do?

She was uneasy, having brought Xu Chengcheng out as the middleman, but Song Guanchao's attitude was troubling.

Was he planning to make a move?

Tan Xiang spoke up: "Director Song…"

No sooner had she spoken than Xu Chengcheng already opened the private room door.

Yet as soon as the door opened, he saw a group of tall n standing outside.

Before Xu Chengcheng could react, the man outside kicked.

With a loud bang, Xu Chengcheng was kicked back into the room, sliding half a ter across the floor.

Clutching his stomach, a wave of pain rolled through where he was kicked; his forehead was sweating, his face pale as if he were about to pass out.

A footprint on his white suit made him look utterly embarrassed.

The sudden turn of events rendered Tan Xiang restless, glaring angrily at Song Guanchao: "Director Song, what do you an?"

Song Guanchao raised a finger to his lips, gesturing for silence: "Quietly drink your tea."

Then, slightly leaning back, he pushed the chair away and turned toward Xu Chengcheng.

"Song Guanchao, are you looking to die?" Xu Chengcheng said viciously.

In his forty odd years of life, he had never been beaten like this.

Yet Song Guanchao paid no attention to him, heading toward the exit, only speaking as he reached the door: "Take him."

Lu Feng snapped his fingers, and Li Zhijun and the team dragged him up off the floor and out.

"Let go!" Xu Chengcheng struggled but couldn't break free.

Lu Feng walked over and slapped his face twice.

After the slaps, Xu Chengcheng fell silent.

He was dazed from the shock.

Not from pain, but from disbelief.

Stunned by the attitude of Song Guanchao's people towards him.

How dared this minor director?

Even if he didn't know his true identity, he could surely guess.

So, why did he dare?

In this state of bewildered numbness, he was escorted out of the tea house and thrown into a car.

Tan Xiang stood by the window, watching Song Guanchao and the group drive away, her mind in turmoil.

She returned to the tea table, grabbing her phone.

As soon as the call connected, Song Guanchao said: "This matter doesn't concern you, President Tan, so don't intervene. It's late; you should rest."

After that, he hung up.

Tan Xiang was furious.

Having called Xu Chengcheng over, him being taken away ant it certainly concerned her.

She was really angry, extrely angry!

She felt tricked by Song Guanchao!

This jerk disrespected her!

But sadly, she realized she couldn't do anything but be angry.

She sat down, trying to calm down, when the private room door was pushed open again.

Shen Qing walked over quickly: "What happened?"

She had been in the adjacent room, and was in the restroom when the commotion occurred.

Upon hearing it, she hurriedly took care of things and rushed over.

Knowing Tan Xiang was eting Song Guanchao tonight, she was worried about her being alone and insisted on coming along.

Publicly, they were superior and subordinate, but in truth, they were both undercover, mutually supportive sisters.

Tan Xiang cald down and said: "He had invite Xu Chengcheng to catch him."

"He took Xu Chengcheng away?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"Xu Chengcheng sent people to trouble him; there must be so conflict between them."

Before coming to the tea house, she phoned Qi Xuan and learned what happened tonight.

So when she received Song Guanchao's call, she thought Song wanted to reconcile.

But who knew he actually wanted to capture him!
