Hu Zhengrong inwardly cursed his luck, stumbling upon a DUI checkpoint by chance.

However, there was a sick person in the car, and he was acting in an ergency to avoid danger.

He patiently said, "Officer, I’ve been drinking, but there’s a sick person in the car, could we please get them to the hospital first?"

"You’ve been drinking?"

The traffic cop ignored what he said next, pushing the breathalyzer a bit closer, and yelled, "Blow!"

Hu Zhengrong’s brows furrowed, he said in a deep voice, "There’s a sick person in the car, can’t you understand plain English?"

The traffic cop shouted angrily, "I told you to blow, don’t you get it?"

"Damn it!" Hu Zhengrong was just about to hit the accelerator, intending to drive straight to the hospital, but the cop seed to have read his mind and violently yanked the door open, grabbing his arm and dragging him outside.

Hu Zhengrong had been drinking and his reactions were slow; he was forcefully pulled out.

The traffic cop pressed him against the car door, turning his head to call for backup, "We have a DUI attempting to flee here!"

A rustling sound.

Several more traffic cops imdiately surrounded them.

Xiao Chenggong and Song Guanchao were both stunned.

The attitude of the traffic cop was way too abnormal.

Even though he knew there was a sick person who urgently needed to be taken to the hospital, he still enforced the law with such violence.

The two of them quickly got out of the car, intending to explain the situation properly.

At this mont, Song Guanchao suddenly noticed a black sedan by the roadside.

The car’s window was rolled down, and inside, two people sat.

One Fu Cheng, the other Chief Zhang.

These two were slyly smiling at him at this mont.

Suddenly, Song Guanchao understood everything.

This was a setup!

A setup aid at him!

If he wasn’t wrong, even the designated driver had been arranged by them!

But, he wasn’t the one driving.

Even if the cops found out about the DUI, what of it?

Just then, suddenly a traffic cop opened the trunk and shouted, "Contraband found in the vehicle!"

Song Guanchao was taken aback and turned to look.

The traffic cop who had just restrained Hu Zhengrong was now standing by the trunk, holding a transparent plastic bag in his hand.

Several cars had just passed by, and their bright headlights clearly illuminated the plastic bag he was holding.

Inside the bag, there was a white powder.

A sinking feeling hit Song Guanchao.

He had underestimated the lengths these two would go to.

They were trying to entirely set him up!

He took a deep breath, and his slightly inebriated mind instantly cleared as he started to think of a way out of this trap.

"Contact the police station imdiately!"

The traffic cop placed the white powder in the trunk, closed the trunk lid, and pointed at Song Guanchao and Xiao Chenggong, "Detain them!"

The other traffic cops imdiately restrained the two n.

And the two officers assisting with the DUI checkpoint also contacted their station right away.

Seeing the white powder, Hu Zhengrong was also startled.

He quickly realized soone was framing him!

But he didn’t curse out loud; instead, he stared at the traffic cop who had just held him down and said, "What’s your na?"

The traffic cop replied coldly, "What, you want revenge?"

Hu Zhengrong chuckled, "Young comrade, no matter who sent you to set up, I can tell you responsibly that this thod is quite amateurish!"

The traffic cop narrowed his eyes, grabbed his arm, and forcefully twisted it backward, brutally pressing his head against the car window.

Half of Hu Zhengrong’s face was deford from the pressure.

"Drunk driving! Possession of contraband! I have reasonable suspicion that you three are involved in drug trafficking!"

Inside, Hu Zhengrong was infuriated, but he remained exceedingly calm.

As the Deputy Captain of the Ard Police Brigade, having held high positions for many years, he had seen all kinds of situations.

He was well aware that this was not the ti for pointless resistance.

Xiao Chenggong had also cald down by now, realizing they had been set up!

Only thing was, who was the real target of the setup.

Was it ant to take down Hu Zhengrong, or himself?

Within the system, there’s always one or two political enemies.

But most of the ti, everyone plays by the rules.

Situations where soone is set up and sabotaged to the point of destruction are extrely rare.

And once it cos to that, it’s like tearing off the mask—a fight to the death!

The three were handcuffed and squatting on the curb.

They didn’t ask about the designated driver’s situation; there was no need to ask, as the driver was definitely arranged.

Xiao Chenggong asked, "Old Hu, which district does this belong to?"

"Huayuan District."

"Do you have a conflict with the people from Huayuan District?"

"Conflict my ass!"

"Then whom have you offended?"

"I’ve offended a damn sea of people; who knows who’s screwing over."

He was racking his brains, but for the mont, he couldn’t think of anyone.

He had offended many people, but not to this extent.

Hu Zhengrong asked, "Old Xiao, could it be that they’re targeting you?"

Xiao Chenggong shook his head, "I haven’t offended anyone here, and as for Jianyuan City... sure, there are people who don’t like , but not to this extent."

At this mont, Song Guanchao spoke gravely, "Their target is ."

The two turned to look at him, "You?"

"Hmm," Song Guanchao lifted his chin slightly, and following his gaze, they saw the black sedan by the road.

"Those two, one is Fu Cheng, a police officer from Longjiang Road Police Station, and the other is Chief Zhang from the City Committee’s Comprehensive Departnt."

"I’ve had run-ins with these two."

Song Guanchao briefly recounted his adversarial history with the two n.

After listening, Hu Zhengrong sneered, "Well, look at that, a small-ti police officer and a petty departnt head are not so impressive at their jobs, but they sure know how to fra soone."

Xiao Chenggong squinted and said, "Old Hu, you take care of this. I have to return to Jianyuan first thing tomorrow. Don’t delay ."

"Rest assured."

"Damn bastards, framing and setting people up on !"

Hu Zhengrong was furious.

Song Guanchao said, "Captain Hu, don’t act rashly. The banned items were from your car, even revealing your identity isn’t going to help."

Hu Zhengrong frowned; indeed, the banned items were a thorny issue.

Even knowing it was a fra-up, it would be hard to explain.

"Do you have a plan?"

Xiao Chenggong suddenly asked.

"Yes!"

"However, for this plan, we’ll need Captain Hu’s cooperation."

"No problem!"

He was also curious about what thod Song Guanchao had in mind.

After all, apart from revealing their identities, they couldn’t think of any other plan.

Song Guanchao whispered a few words to Hu Zhengrong, who nodded slightly.

Soon after, the police from Huayuan Road Police Station arrived.

The policen ca over and were about to take the three away in the car.

Hu Zhengrong stood up and said, "I am Hu Zhengrong, Deputy Captain of the Lingjiang Ard Police Brigade."

Several policen were stunned. Hu Zhengrong continued, "Take off the handcuffs, I need to make a call."

The police looked at each other, unsure how to react.

But quickly, a young policeman stepped forward and unlocked his handcuffs.

Regardless of whether the claim was true or false, they’d let the man make his call first.

After all, what if it was true?

Hu Zhengrong took out his phone and, while dialing, said, "Also take off their handcuffs."

The young policeman quickly unlocked the other two, and Song Guanchao also took out his phone to make a call.

Hu Zhengrong’s call connected first, and the policen all pricked up their ears.

"Xiao He, I’m at the traffic light on Youth Road in Huayuan District, co over with your team imdiately!"

The local officers heard this and tensed.

The person was directly asking for the Ard Police to co over!

anwhile, Song Guanchao’s call also connected, "Mr. Liang, you’ve gotten into trouble!"
