4:50 p.m.
With ten minutes left until five o’clock, Liu Lanzi stepped out of her office.
Ning Lin followed up, "Chairman Liu, Wu Zongheng wants to invite you to dinner."
That na made Liu Lanzi reveal a hint of disgust, "Tell him I don’t have ti."
Entering the elevator, Ning Lin said, "Wu Zongheng is waiting for you downstairs."
Liu Lanzi let out a forceful breath of air, humd lightly, and asked, "How’s the data collection I asked you to do yesterday?"
"It’s almost complete, should have everything by tomorrow."
After a pause, Ning Lin asked, "Do we need to collect information on Wu Zongheng’s company as well?"
Liu Lanzi scoffed with disdain, "His company, worthy of being called a company?"
Ning Lin understood her aning and silently crossed Wu Zongheng’s company off her ntal list.
Exiting the elevator, a man sitting in the lobby lounge area ca over, smiling from afar and calling out, "Cousin."
With a stern face, Liu Lanzi said, "Xiao Ning, you can leave work now."
Ning Lin cast a worried glance at the man, then silently left ahead.
After she had gone, the man stepped forward with arms wide open as if to envelop her in a hearty hug, but he was repelled by Liu Lanzi’s cold and disgusted gaze.
Unabashed, he chuckled, grinning shalessly, "Cousin, I’ve made a reservation."
"No ti."
"Cousin, we’re relatives after all, show so courtesy, won’t you?"
Liu Lanzi reached the door, stopped, and said, "Out with it, what do you want?"
Wu Zongheng spoke up, "I heard that Cousin knows Secretary Song from the City Committee, and I would like to ask for your help in introducing us."

Liu Lanzi mustered her courage and said, "I told you, if you hurt , I will not give you money!"

Lu Xiaotian was just about to curse when Liu Lanzi suddenly floored the gas pedal and yanked the steering wheel sharply to the left, ramming the car head-on into the gates of the police station across the street from the company.

A massive sound erupted, and all the pedestrians nearby stopped in their tracks to look toward the source of the noise.
The drivers waiting for the traffic light also turned their gaze in that direction.
Wu Zongheng, who had just pulled open the car door, preparing to get in, was also captivated by the scene.

The officers looked over and realized that Liu Lanzi was being taken hostage.
"Freeze!"
The police officers dashed forward to rescue her, but Lu Xiaotian suddenly raised his handgun and aid at them: "Back off!"
The officers instantly stopped, reflexively dodging to either side.
Lu Xiaotian seized the opportunity and quickly left the police station. He looked frantically around, but couldn’t find any hope of escape.
The passing pedestrians scread and scattered, creating a mont that left Lu Xiaotian with nowhere to hide.
Clenching his teeth, he took Liu Lanzi hostage and burst into a nearby kindergarten.
