Zelensky brought up this historical fact, and that really is how it happened.
Back then, when the Soviet Empire Alliance collapsed, Kekistan had a large number of nuclear weapons as well as bomber aircraft as nuclear delivery platforms.
Because of the turbulent tis, and because Kekistan itself had no economic strength to maintain nuclear weapons, under the leadership of the United States and England, Evil Luo Country, which inherited a large amount of the Soviet Empire's legacy, stepped in and had Kekistan give up its nukes and destroy a vast amount of its weaponry in exchange for territorial integrity, independence, and security.
The three great powers all made security assurances: once Kekistan was invaded, they would all provide strong security guarantees, even go to war.
For this, the four parties even signed the Dabulas morandum.
Yet it was Evil Luo Country, one of the signatories, that first took Kromia, and now has invaded Kekistan again.
At a ti like this, whether the promises of the United States and England still hold depends entirely on their own willingness to act. As for Evil Luo Country's behavior, it's completely unrestrained by any spirit of contract; a country that gave security assurances then takes the initiative to attack the very object it promised to protect—this is an astronomical joke.
Now, President Landen's suggestion is for Zelensky to flee and form a governnt-in-exile, which truly leaves him bitterly disappointed.
Zelensky was right to raise this question.
President Landen's explanation, in brief, was that at this mont the United States is distant water that cannot put out a nearby fire, that Evil Luo Country is simply too strong compared with Kekistan, and that in order to avoid war turning all living things into charcoal and too many civilians suffering, they should settle for second best. As for the security assurances in the form of a morandum, the legal effect is not obvious, and besides, it is Evil Luo that is attacking, not so other country outside the three powers that made the assurances.
The Mi Guo people are really slick at playing with these rules.
Zelensky was a bit furious, but he kept it pressed down in his heart and said nothing. He only expressed that he did not want Kekistan to be lost in his hands, that he could not let the people of Kekistan beco vassals of Evil Luo, for that would be a colossal humanitarian disaster.
After ending the call, Zelensky originally wanted to phone Johnsen, but then he thought it over and let it go; England and the United States have always worn the sa pair of pants!
He even thought of the Wale Republic, but gave up on that too—again, it would really be distant water unable to put out a nearby fire.
By the ti the Wale Republic's arms shipnts arrived, Evil Luo People would probably have already taken Fuerqinke City.
Moreover, dragging a young developed-region country like the Wale Republic into the water like this would really be too uncalled-for.
So Zelensky did sothing that moved the whole world: he called Kekistan's national television station and said he would deliver a live nationwide televised address in two hours.
But he didn't expect that just after sending the order over, while the station was preparing for the broadcast, Liu Zhizhong's call ca through.
Seeing it was a call from President Chi Zhongshui of the Wale Republic, Zelensky hung up directly.
However, he couldn't withstand Liu Zhizhong calling twice more in a row, so Zelensky had no choice but to pick up.
"Mr. President, this is truly regrettable news—the war has still broken out. But please hold on: the aid from the Wale Republic is already on the way!"
The fluent Kekistani language, the familiar magnetic voice, and the firm tone nearly brought Zelensky to tears.
Choking up, he said, "Mr. Chi Zhongshui, you really didn't have to. Even the Mi Guo people have abandoned their promises; why should the Wale Republic wade into such muddy waters? The Wale Republic was not easily founded, and developnt is not easy either. I do not want you to shoulder so much for us. The people of Kekistan will not bow to invaders—we will resist to the very end, even if we fight to the last man!"
"Sir, my friend, your bravery commands my respect, but our aid truly is already on the way!"
"Sir, will it even help? The Wale Republic is 4,000 kiloters from us. Large transport planes can't get through, Evil Luo Country has sealed off the border air routes. If you send large ships, who knows which distant year they'll arrive in!"
"No! Mr. Zelensky, our weapons are already inside Kekistan. They're sitting right now on the empty bulk carriers we sent earlier to load grain and ore—those ships waiting at the docks are packed with weapons, packed with our artillery, Himas systems, Javelin anti-tank launchers, loitering suicide drones, and more! A full three large ships—more than enough for Fuerqinke City to mount a last-stand defense and counterattack."
"What? What did you say?"
Zelensky was dumbfounded, completely unable to believe his ears. "My God, Mr. Chi Zhongshui, what have you done for the Wale Republic's sake?"
This president who had once been a clown actor was so stirred that hot tears were about to spill out.
A small-country leader four thousand kiloters away was actually helping so passionately—this only further steeled his resolve to resist. He absolutely would not flee and beco the head of so governnt-in-exile.
Liu Zhizhong said, "Half a month ago, I believed the military intelligence assessnts of the United States and England, and I believed the analyses of my own think tanks. We knew there was a high probability that war would break out."
"Kekistan, when invaded, is the weaker side, while Evil Luo is the invader, the unjust side. In the modern history of world civilization, no invader has ever truly won in the end. From World War I to World War II, it has always been so."
"Resistance cannot be allowed to stop; otherwise the world will lose its light, civilization will be terminated, and dictatorship will rule the globe. So we prepared the weapons we currently have and secretly shipped them ahead of ti on bulk carriers we purchased, sending them to wait at Ode Port."
"That port is safe, and there's the Dibo River there to block any large-scale river-crossing operation by Evil Luo. Our arms can be loaded straight from the port onto trains heading west, then turned north, entering your Capital from the west side of Fuerqinke and arming your troops for a counteroffensive!"
"According to our analysis, that route is safe. If necessary, the Wale Republic will organize an international volunteer corps to enter Kekistan and fight! Next, please issue orders, Mr. President: you must hold both banks of the Dibo River, hold the western sector of Fuerqinke, and wait for the arrival of the munitions."
"After that, we will also submit requests to arms dealers so that the large quantities of weapons we had originally ordered will be shipped directly to Portland on your western border, then transported into your western regions to equip your forces!"
"My God…" Zelensky exclaid, tears streaming down, "Mr. Chi Zhongshui, are you soone God has sent to the mortal world to save us? I truly never imagined you and your team would be so resolute, so full of strategy, that you've thought of everything for us! Thank you! I will lead every soldier of Kekistan to fight to the death and secure the transport routes you need!"
"All right, there's no ti to lose, I'll hang up now. People of Kekistan, stay strong! God is with you!"
