The effect of those words was imdiate.

Feng Yiren’s whole body stiffened.

Then, just as fast as he had pulled her close, he released her and jumped back as if she had suddenly turned into a poisonous snake.

Lin Huahua blinked in confusion.

Feng Yiren pointed at her with shock and anger all over his face. His fox ears had gone back, his tail lashed once behind him, and his expression looked exactly like soone who had just realized that the sweet fruit in front of him had actually been a trap.

"What kind of question is that?" Feng Yiren snapped. "If you do not want to hold you, then just say it properly. Why are you threatening with another female?"

Lin Huahua: "..."

Lin Huahua looked even more confused.

Threatening him?

When had she threatened him?

She had asked him a very normal and helpful question.

At least in her own mind it was helpful.

But Feng Yiren clearly did not think so. In fact, the more he spoke, the more his pride got involved, and once Feng Yiren’s pride got involved, the fox beca even harder to deal with.

"I know what you are doing," he said, now glaring at her with offended dignity. "You want to dump all of us, but it will never work. We are not leaving you. Not , not the others, no matter how many strange things you suddenly start saying."

After throwing out those words, he turned his face away and added in a colder tone, "Your bathing water is ready."

Then he stord out.

His high beast skirt swayed around his powerful legs, his fox tail flicked like an angry fla, and the whole sight was so dramatic that Lin Huahua could only sit there staring at the cave entrance after he disappeared.

She was completely confused.

Her little white rat ears tilted to one side.

Her mouth opened a little.

Then she slowly looked up at the stone ceiling of the cave as if asking the heavens what exactly had gone wrong with this morning.

"I was trying to help him," Lin Huahua muttered to herself.

Naturally, the heavens offered no answer.

So she simply lay back down on the fur and stared upward for a while, looking so small and tragic that if anyone passed by, they would think this little female had already been defeated by life before breakfast.

She stayed like that for nearly ten minutes, thinking about her miserable fate, her evil father, her useless system, her annoying handso males, and the terrible burden of now having to find good females for those sa males, because if she did not do that, then once she left, they would end up in the hands of that cruel placeholder version again.

The more Lin Huahua thought about it, the more she felt that there was truly nothing she could do for now except move forward one step at a ti.

So finally she sat up.

Then she took a deep breath.

Then she clenched her hands and tried to look determined, even though her expression still carried so leftover grievance.

At that mont, Mu Qingyi walked in.

The deer beastman imdiately noticed her face. His calm eyes softened at once, and because he was the nurturing type who always paid attention to the smallest thing, he walked closer without wasting any ti.

His antlers were beautiful in the morning light, his broad chest was bare as usual, and the muscles in his tall body moved naturally as he ca toward her, but what stood out most was the concern on his face.

"Why are you crying?" Mu Qingyi asked softly.

Lin Huahua shook her head at once. "Nothing."

That answer was so fast and so suspicious that it would not have fooled even a sleepy rabbit, let alone Mu Qingyi.

So he lowered himself a little and reached toward her as if he wanted to draw her into an embrace. But this ti, Lin Huahua pulled herself back quickly before his arms could fully close around her.

The move surprised him.

Lin Huahua noticed the flicker in his face and imdiately felt a little guilty, but she still forced herself to do it, because the more they held her, carried her, worried over her, and surrounded her like this, the more attached they would beco.

And if they beca too attached, how would she ever find them another female later?

Thinking of that, Lin Huahua hardened her little heart for half a second and hurried off toward the washing room.

Mu Qingyi stood there watching her go, his heart clenched as he watched her leave, he hated when she pulled away from him.

Lin Huahua pushed aside the hide curtain and entered the bathing room feeling so dramatic that even she herself thought she deserved an award.

Then she started taking off her hide clothes with the expression of soone preparing to wash not only her body but also all the suffering in her life.

Her little tail drooped behind her.

Her white rat ears were not standing proudly anymore.

Even the way she untied her clothes looked full of wounded spirit.

Once she slipped into the warm water, she let out a long breath and leaned back, her pale skin and small soft body sinking comfortably into the bath as she stared up and thought that at least the water was warm.

That was one good thing.

One.

The more she soaked, the better she felt. The water loosened the heaviness in her chest little by little, and although she still felt wronged, the hot bath helped wash away the sticky sadness clinging to her.

By the ti Lin Huahua ca out again, dried off, and dressed herself, she did feel a little better.

Her little rat ears to lifted again with determination, and her tail to gave one determined swish.

Then with a determined look on his face, "I must find good females for them."

That was right.

That would be her next mission.

So when she stepped back out, she looked around and quickly saw that Mu Qingyi was already there waiting for her.

The mont he saw her, he asked gently, "Are you hungry?"

Lin Huahua nodded at once. "Yes, yes."

Mu Qingyi’s eyes softened a little more, because her voice had regained so life. "What do you want to eat? You ate at yesterday, and there are still so spices left."

Just then, Feng Yiren walked in too.

He was still angry about her earlier question, and because he was not the type to hide his emotions very well when he was upset, his fox ears were a little stiff and his tail was swaying in a sharp irritated movent.

Unfortunately for him, Lin Huahua did not notice any of that at all.

She only thought for a second, then said brightly, "Let’s eat fish this morning."

The whole cave froze.

Mu Qingyi blinked.

Feng Yiren stared at her.

Fish?

...

Guys if you have golden tickets, send them my way alright?
