So instead she doubled down and looked at Wei Ranshu as if daring him to say one more stupid thing.
He did.

Because Wei Ranshu was who he was.
He opened his mouth again, but Lin Huahua had completely run out of patience. She did not even listen to the start of whatever peacock nonsense was about to co next. She only moved, angry and fast, and lifted the fish again as if she was about to continue where she left off.
That was enough for Feng Yiren.
Before Lin Huahua could do anything, the fox beastman took one step forward, his lean muscular bare chest rising fast with hot anger, and then his fist moved.
Fast.
Too fast for most of the people watching to even see properly.
One punch.
That was all.
But the force of it made Feng Yiren’s lean bare chest flex hard, sweat already glistening on his smooth skin from the heat of his rage, his red fox tail lashing once behind him as the mory of Lin Huahua’s bold mating promise earlier sent a fresh wave of possessive heat straight to his cock, making it twitch under his hide skirt while he imagined claiming her tonight to prove she was his.
His punch landed with so much force against Wei Ranshu’s face that the peacock’s head snapped hard to the side, blood flew from his mouth, and one broken tooth fell out onto the dirt.

Mao Qingyue looked completely calm, which sohow made everything worse.
Feng Yiren shook his hand once and looked down at Wei Ranshu with no pity at all.
Then, because old rage had been living in him for too long, he clearly intended to hit him again.
Lin Huahua saw that and finally snapped out of her shock.
She rushed forward at once and threw herself in between before the next blow could land.
"No!"
Feng Yiren stopped.
His red eyes fell on her face imdiately. "Are you protecting him?"
The question ca out sharp, and because old wounds were mixed into it, Mu Qingyi and Hu Baiyu also looked at her in that sa second.
Lin Huahua frowned at once and said, "I am not protecting him. You are about to kill him."
Feng Yiren’s jaw tightened. "I will not kill him."
To be fair, he probably believed that.
But the problem was that Mu Qingyi and Hu Baiyu had also stepped forward now, and although neither of them had spoken yet, the look in their eyes made it very clear that they had not forgotten anything either.
Wei Ranshu had humiliated them for years through Lin Huahua’s obsession.
He had enjoyed it.
He had encouraged it.
He had watched them suffer and said nothing.
So when Feng Yiren had landed that punch, it was not only his own anger he was striking with. It was years of buried resentnt all coming up at once.
And now that the path had been opened, the other two were no better.
Hu Baiyu moved first.

The deer beastman had always been gentle, but gentleness did not an weakness. His face stayed calm, yet the force of his strike when he hit Wei Ranshu across the jaw again made it clear that he had been waiting for a chance like this for a very long ti.
By the end of it, Wei Ranshu was no longer proud.
No longer smug.
He looked half dead already.

So she stepped back again and raised both hands. "Enough! Enough!"
Her males stopped.
Not because their anger had gone.
Only because she told them to.
That alone made the villagers even more aware of how much had changed.
Wei Ranshu barely remained upright on his knees.
Blood marked the side of his mouth. One cheek had already begun swelling, and the broken tooth on the ground made the whole thing look even more miserable.
Then Lin Huahua slowly turned to Su Yanrong.
The vulture woman’s face had gone pale.
Her males saw that look and imdiately dropped to their knees without even thinking, because this had already gone too far, and if the princess turned her attention to Su Yanrong now, then what could stop whatever ca next?
So all of Su Yanrong’s males knelt and bowed their heads low, their voices full of fear as they started begging at once.
"Princess, please."
"She is only a female."
"Please let her go."
"Please show rcy."
