"Are you sure that it is a Legendary Tier Advanced Teleportation Scroll that is unbound?" Branch Leader Goldenclaw asked as his breathing could be seen becoming faster as he beca excited. He created a barrier filled with energy that prevented any sound to go to the outside.
"Yes, master. It is exactly that and even the spies of the organization did not learn of it yet. I made sure to create a barrier that prevented peeking and hearing when the scroll was taken out." The assistant branch leader stated.
"Who in their right mind would offer such an item that is coveted by even the best immortals of the eastern continent?" Branch Leader Goldenclaw asked.
"The Firefeather clan presented it to , master." The assistant branch leader stated.
"That elusive and unconventional clan? Why would they want to sell sothing so precious?" Branch Leader Goldenclaw muttered.
"If I may speak, master." The assistant branch leader stated.
"Go on. Tell why they are willing to sell such a very important item." Branch Leader Goldenclaw stated.
"I know that the master cares not for human relations, but the esteed Lady Firefeather is sick. She was born with twisted ridians that needs dication to even make her day comfortable. Even the Divine Physician has told her that she would need to drink tonics to have a normal life. This is the case for most of the Firefeather clan which is why they rarely interact with the other clans in the eastern continent despite being incredibly rich." The assistant branch leader stated.
"If their clan is always affected by that sickness, why haven't other clans destroyed them and plundered them yet?" Branch Leader Goldenclaw asked.
"They are a clan that is protected directly by the Vermillion Bird and also there is a saying in the east. 'Great Pain can give you Unlimited Possibilities' is a saying that perfectly describes the Firefeather clan. If they can overco their sickness, then they will gain imnse power, and the current example is their matriarch. She is a powerful Immortal that even the other clans from other territories would dare offend.
The current Lady Firefeather has almost all her ridians twisted which ans she will be more powerful than the current matriarch should she untangle all of them. For humans to entangle ridians that were twisted from birth, a need for resources is essential. The Firefeather clan has ordered the best magical stones, tals and herbs from us which ans they are doing all they can to heal Lady Firefeather." The assistant branch leader stated.
The fact that even the assistant branch leader of the rchant guild, one who thrives in information, does not know that the Firefeather clan is just a cover for the Ryujin ans that their disguise is perfect. Even other rchant associations and secret organizations do not know this as these hidden clans are the last resort of the Ryujins in knowing the society of the eastern continent.
"So, why do you not have the unbound teleportation scroll?" Branch Leader Goldenclaw asked.
"I cannot accept such important transactions in your stead, master. Also, if I pushed and handled it then the spies of the organization will be able to learn about it. If the organization know about the scroll, then you will not be able to get it." The assistant branch leader stated as he looked directly at Branch Leader Goldenclaw or rather the Primordial Beast of Greed.
"You want sothing from . So, have you finally decided to follow instead of the organization?" The Primordial Beast of Greed asked as the eyes of Branch Leader Goldenclaw changed color to a more yellowish tone.
"I am rely following my greed. As long as you make control all the rchant associations in the eastern continent when you are free then I can make that sacrifice." The assistant branch leader stated.
"You are telling the truth as you cannot hide your greed from . There are not even other emotions mixed with them. Perfect! I will give you what you wish as long as you get that scroll. You ntioned that I am needed for that transaction. Make sure that the Firefeathers are protected, and I will et them tomorrow. I will make sure to co tomorrow even if I have to curse this entire clan." The Primordial Beast of Greed stated.
"As you wish, master. I would like to add sothing that worries ." The assistant branch leader stated.
"If you fear for your life, I can directly give you energy to ensure that no normal Immortal can kill you." The Primordial Beast of Greed stated.
"It is not that, master. The Hex Guru is also in Kunlun right now and he might have detected the special energy that the scroll possesses." The assistant branch leader stated.
"If he makes a move on the scroll then I will move the elite guards of the Goldenclaw clan. I will also make sure that the Hex Guru is the one that 'kills' them before we promptly take the scroll. The Firefeather clan did entrust us to sell the scroll after all even if their esteed mistress dies." Primordial Beast of Greed stated.
"Yes. I will make the arrangents for that as well. We will host them in our finest inn after all." The assistant branch leader stated with a bow before leaving.
The Primordial Beast of Greed waited for the assistant branch leader to leave before he took a knife and cut his palm. Blood trickled towards the floor, and it started to create a yellow puddle as the blood running in his veins was not red. The yellow puddle suddenly birthed out monsters that looked like twisted version of monster pigs, but they soon turned humanoid. The humanoid monsters did not turn fully human though as they had horse legs and hooves.
"We are the master's loyal servants." The summoned humanoid beings stated.
"Attack the Firefeather mistress and take the scroll that has the energy of space in their possession." The Primordial Beast of Greed commanded.
