Just as Hou Yiwei stated, the Demon is not friends with him and might be ssing with his mind. Even if they are fighting against the sa enemy, all of the guilds that ca here are all fighting for the sa prize. All of the guilds want to be number one in the Guild Raid Ranking as the prize is a 20% increase of experience points for three months which can stack.
Any experience boost reward is the goal for all of the guilds at this stage in the ga. They need to have more experience points in order to get more powerful and get more levels. This is also one of the reasons why the Celestial Guild headed by Hou Yiwei has reigned at the top for so long.
Hou Yiwei made it a directive for the guild to only hunt down monsters that can increase the experience points granted. Currently, the Celestial Guild has an 80% experience point bonus which helps all of their guild mbers rise in levels quickly. If they can gain the first rank in terms of Guild Contribution then a 100% bonus experience points is nothing to scoff at.
This would propel any guild mber to greater heights in terms of level as the experience multiplier of a guild is an addition to what a player can receive. For example, if a player already receives about 150% experience points, then the 100% bonus ant that it would double that initial value. In essence, the guild experience bonus is a multiplier for experience points.
"Do not listen to the ramblings of another guild master. We should only focus on the task at hand and deal with the Primordial Beast Nidhogg." Hou Yiwei stated as he imdiately took action while also looking at Adrian with an expression of showing off.
"Ohoh! Let see how good you are then." Adrian muttered as he could already see that arrogant nature that Hou Yiwei possesses.
Hou Yiwei already knows that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg cannot be damaged by elental energy but he does not possess that. What Hou Yiwei possess is an energy that can only be used by gods. He himself fires off divine energy as all of his mana is converted to it. Just like Adrian’s peculiar transformation, Hou Yiwei also transford into a body that can only use divine energy.
Adrian could clearly see Hou Yiwei’s body that is brimming with divine energy as if he is already a god. Still, Adrian can see that Hou Yiwei is no longer a dragon but a different being which ans what he sensed back then is real. He did not expect a player like Hou Yiwei will trade his draconic core for sothing more powerful but that also ans he traded it for sothing more powerful than that.
Hou Yiwei arrogantly stepped out and Adrian could clearly see him walking on air as if it is nothing. He was not flying nor is using an item but he is really walking on air as if he has a platform. Adrian rembered that this should be sothing akin to the ability of a Divine Griffin. They have the ability to walk on air itself as they are conceived as Divine Beasts of the Skies.
"He must be using the sa concept as the Divine Griffins. Incredible but also very skillful in his execution. It looks like he is not even focusing on stepping as if everything is all second nature. I guess being first in the level rankings should amount to sothing after all." Adrian stated which so Celestial Guild mbers heard which prompted a glare from them.
Hou Yiwei believed that he himself can carry this fight against the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. If a player beneath him like Equinox can sway the battlefield by erasing elental spells from the Primordial Beast Nidhogg then he will slay the enemy. The nurous arrows made from pure divine energy that he released earlier pierced the body of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg.
The damage was not small but it is not enough to call it a decisive blow against the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. Knowing this, Hou Yiwei imdiately prepared one of his most powerful spells as he imbued his bow with his divine energy. The bow suddenly beca covered in golden light as he released the arrow that fired off like a laser.
The arrow that is made of pure divine energy beca a golden laser that pierced the skin of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The piercing arrow was so powerful that it seared even the flesh inside of the enemy. This made the Primordial Beast Nidhogg roar out loudly as the pain in was afflicted also contained the power of the sun. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg might have the power of flas but it does not have the power to deny the sun.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg’s body suddenly turned into stone and sand as if it has beco a moving mountain. Even Adrian wants to see what Hou Yiwei will do with this as he wants to see if the ranked one player has what it takes to be that arrogant. Hou Yiwei did not falter at the sight of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg changing forms as he just initiated another skill.
The Primordial Beast Nidhogg looked towards the being that pierced its tough armor. It then unfurled its large frills and emitted a shrill hiss before finally unleashing hell. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly fired off nurous rock shards from its expanded frill. The rock shards were not only sturdy but also extrely fast in speed.
One of the players tried blocking the rock shards via a shield but all of them exploded upon impact. The shards that explode release nurous sharp rock picks that could even tear through armor. The horror of the attack is not the relentless barrage of a hundred thousand rock shards but it is the explosion of such rock shards.
The one who is the primary target of these rock shards is none other than Hou Yiwei but the person in question has not taken any instance of damage at all. Hou Yiwei could be seen standing perfectly still in the sky as if he is not even disturbed. In fact, any rock shard that cos his way would suddenly explode into sand.
"Oh! Such an interesting skill that negates any ranged attack but there must be a restriction." Adrian muttered as he is correct.
Hou Yiwei skill allows him to incinerate any projectile coming towards him as long as he perceives it. One might say that this should be impossible as the rock shards are flying at the speed of light but Hou Yiwei can perceive it all. Hou Yiwei has already activated a Divine Tier skill called the Heavenly Mind’s Eye. He can perceive anything around him in a slow motion which makes it a synergistic effect with his protection skill called the Divine Archer’s Grace.
"It is great that he is unaffected but how about us?! You were the one that incurred the wrath of that beast!" So of the players shouted but Hou Yiwei could not be bothered with them.
"Trash. Only those that need help to defend themselves are trash and useless." Hou Yiwei stated as he proceeded to draw his bow to once again release that arrow of concentrated divine energy.
As Hou Yiwei released that arrow, the Primordial Beast Nidhogg also made its move and stopped its attacks. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg slamd the ground beneath its foot which made a mound erupt from the ground. The mount was big enough to actually be a small mountain and the tip of the mound is aid towards Hou Yiwei.
Hou Yiwei managed to dodge but that also ant he had to move his body in a way that he will not be suddenly killed by a large spike that cos from the ground. Still, despite the sudden attack from the Primordial Beast Nidhogg, Hou Yiwei managed to fire off his arrow which pierced through the left part of the enemy’s frill. The frill that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg uses to attack is suddenly pierced and beca a droopy ss.
The Primordial Beast Nidhogg did not scream in pain or say sothing but it has released a thick cloud of bloodlust that made Adrian gulp. It seems that Hou Yiwei touched a sore spot for the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. The frill on its body might actually be quite an important part of its life.
The Primordial Beast Nidhogg suddenly beca quiet as its eyes glowed in a dark red aura. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg then proceeded to release a peculiar cry before it coiled around itself.
"EVERYONE ESCAPE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!" Adrian shouted suddenly as fear could be seen on his face.
