A certain situation after the gaming pods have been delivered to the family house. Adrian’s mother has also used the gaming pod for its other features and not just for playing Pandemonium. The family was eating breakfast when Maria, Adrian’s mother, suddenly lit up as she actually demanded her Mother’s Day Gift from them.
"Are you sure that is the gift that you want, mother?" Adrian asked as he could not believe what his mother has said.
"Yeah! We even planned this small party later in the garden and such while Dad will take you to a spa in the morning." Mina stated as she is also in shock from what their mother told them.
"I want that as a gift since it is easy and it can also be a bonding ti for us. I thought that this gaming pod is only good for squandering money and the lting the minds of the youth but it actually has great applications! I really loved the special lifestyle ga for the gaming pod called My Life." Maria stated with a refreshed smile but that smile sent shiver down the spines of both Adrian and Mina for so reason.
"I an we can totally hang out inside the ga called My Life. I rember creating an avatar for that but that is the only thing that I did before exiting. What is it, lil bro?" Mina stated as he asked Adrian what that lifestyle ga is.
"It is basically a lifestyle ga where you can create your own avatar and create a special space for yourself inside a virtual ga world. There are tasks and missions you can do to expand your place and you can even decorate it. You can even earn money if you craft furniture in there but the price per piece is only a dollar maximum since it is a lifestyle ga." Adrian stated.
"Yes! I also learned that it can replicate the real world very well in terms of avatars. You can have a copy of your body in the real world and even use weapons there as sparring is possible!" Maria stated with a smile but Adrian was poking Mina to find a way to stop their mother as he already knows where this is headed.
"That is great then but we want to spend ti with you here. Why not all of us go to the spa to relax?!" Mina stated as she imdiately wanted to shift the conversation but she is also looking at their dad for help. The only problem is that Richard is deliberately ignoring them as he read the online newspaper and sipping his coffee in peace.
"Dad is using the ’I am reading sothing interesting in the newspaper tactic’ think of sothing else!" Adrian stated via glances and pokes.
"I am already out of ideas so it is your turn." Mina replied via glances and pokes as if she understood what Adrian wanted to say with just gestures.
"If that is the case, we go nuclear." Adrian thought as he inhaled deeply.
"Since mother wants to have family bonding in My Life in the morning, we will definitely agree! Father even told last night that you might think of this and he said that he will definitely join us as well! He is so excited of seeing the place you created in My Life since he said that you have been bragging about it!" Adrian stated with a smile but his words made his father choke on the coffee which almost splattered on his holoswatch.
"It seems Adrian was right! Dad almost choked because of the excitent!" Mina added to make sure that their father cannot say anything since fathers spoil their daughters after all.
Adrian and Mina just held their hands as they know the fate that awaits them. They have already visited the place that their mother made in My Life since you can visit the place of one’s family or friends with their permission. They already know that their mother decorated the virtual space as a mystical mountain dojo type place.
Her place is basically sothing created by a fairy like being living on top of the mountain while also having interest in martial arts. The dojo is a mix of all Asian architecture which makes it stand out and also incredibly cool. From what they rember, their mother did study interior design back then and it seems she also applied it in her virtual space.
The beauty of the area is indeed sothing to behold but it is tainted by the screams of Adrian, Mina, and Richard. The gift that Maria wanted is none other than a sparring session in the virtual world and she did not hold back. She wanted to train with her children since it has been so long and the virtual world can replicate even a small amount of pain so she thought it was perfect.
"Nothing like family bonding!" Maria stated as she wiped off her virtual sweat while Adrian and Mina looked exhausted on the floor.
"I would not have minded the sparring session if she was only teaching us." Adrian whispered to Mina
"She was basically hurling her frustration on us because of the inappropriate things we do in the house. I got told off because I turn into a lazy bum when I do not have anything else to do. You got it light since she only told you to eat your vegetables that you avoid. We got lucky because..." Mina stated as their gazes is diverted to their father who is crawled up in a ball.
"He was basically told every grievance that mother had. The dirty clothes not being kept properly, walking while the body is still wet from the shower, and even improper storage of the toothbrush. His physical body got beat but he also got ntally destroyed by brutal honesty." Adrian replied.
Adrian and Mina then looked at each other and laughed out loud. They might say this but they love their mother very much and the things she said are all for their betternt. She would not have said those things if she did not care for them. Maria did not dean or belittle them but only told things that will improve them.
The reasons she is saying all of those things while they were sparring in the My Life ga is because she likes to multi-task. She can train her family in martial arts, she can tell them what bad habits they do, and she can release her frustration in one instance. For Maria, this is the perfect Mother’s Day bonding mont for her.
"I do not need those fancy jewelries, vacations, or any stuff at all for Mother’s Day. Simply spending it with my family is the best gift ever. A mother always worries about the future of her children even if they have beco adults. I want to at least give them a way to protect themselves and better themselves as the world is not always full of rainbows. I hope that they can feel my love for them even though I do not verbalize it." Maria thought as she smiled while looking at the laughing faces of her family.
"Let us go and eat at the restaurant that we booked." Adrian stated as they enjoyed a dinner night out so that their mother could rest from always preparing them als.
