“Hey, don’t mess around! You have such a big appetite. If you finish it, what will Yueyao drink?”
“Pfft!”
Her serious expression caused him to snap out as he lightly scratched her nose and said, “I was only teasing you!”
Yun Shishi smiled and added, “I was teasing you, too!”
The two of them looked at each other and smiled, their love for each other evident in their eyes.
Outside the door, Youyou and Little Yichen sat on the bench. Even though the two children were still young, Mu Yazhe insisted that they stayed away when Yun Shishi was breastfeeding. His attitude was firm and would not tolerate any protests.
Youyou was indignant. “Hmph! Daddy is really petty.”
Little Yichen, on the other hand, said enviously, “I actually think that Little Sister enjoys drinking milk! Poor me, I grew up drinking milk powder!”
Youyou asked curiously, “What sort of milk powder were you given?”
His brother shook his head. “I don’t know… I knew nothing at the time. I was weaned at the age of three.”
“Oh, I’ll ask Daddy later.”
Little Yichen could not help feeling perplexed at his brother’s persistence in finding out the brand of milk powder. “You wish to drink milk too?”
“No.”
“Then why do you keep asking about the brand of my milk powder?”
Youyou said seriously, “It’s just to ensure that Little Sister will never be given that brand of milk powder.”
Little Yichen was astonished. “Why?”
“I wonder if you’re so stupid because you drank this brand of milk powder.”
Again, the boy was struck by his brother’s venomous tongue. He slumped back in his chair, wanting to cry but unable to bring himself to do so. After all the time they had spent together, the boy had gotten very used to his brother’s vicious tongue.
Ignoring Youyou, he clenched his small fists tightly as if he was swearing an oath. “From now on, with another woman in our family, I have to bee stronger! Only then can I protect Mommy and my beloved Little Sister!”
Youyou said, “It would be good enough that you grow smarter, so that you don’t take Little Sister down with you.”
Feeling aggrieved, Little Yichen said, “Youyou, it hurts when you say things like that about me!”
“Since you know that you’re the eldest brother, imagine how embarrassing it would be if Little Sister beats you at everything!”
Youyou continued, “In the future, when Little Sister goes to school, she’ll bring her workbook to you to solve the questions. If you can’t answer them, she’ll despise you for sure.”
Little Yichen let out a grunt, but he said, “Don’t I have you? In the future, if Little Sister has any questions she can’t resolve, she’ll only need to look for you!”
“What about you?” Youyou gave him a look of disgust.
“Me?”
Little Yichen smiled smugly. “If anyone dares to bully Little Sister in the future, I’ll let them have a taste of my fists!”
“…violent.”
“How else?”
Unconvinced, Yichen put his hands on his hips. “If Little Sister were to get bullied, would your fancy little tricks be adequate?”
Youyou blushed guiltily. Indeed, his punches and kicks were not as solid as Little Yichen’s. However, he did not know where his strange strength came from.
After Little Yueyao had her feed and settled down. Mu Yazhe opened the door and let the two little guys into the room. Youyou excitedly ran to the bed and strained his neck eagerly. “Mommy, Mommy! I want to carry Little Sister!”
Mu Yazhe said, “No!”
Youyou pouted at once and asked reluctantly, “Why?”
