Estev stared at the three Dark Wizards before him, squinting, no longer wanting to say another word.
He was pondering more important matters, feeling that all of this seed a bit too simple. He couldn't quite place it, though; he only had a bad premonition. If possible, he'd rather go back down the mountain and calculate so predictions with the hunchbacked Scholar. Despite knowing there were many possibilities in the future, he preferred to accept the probabilities calculated by the Scholar. However, he was not a Wizard and lacked extraordinary mobility. At that mont, he was slightly envious of Wizards...
Before him stood a Wizard. Even though she was a Gray Robe, Estev felt the strength displayed by this Wizard during the earlier fight was quite impressive, making her hard to predict.
At this mont, Great Witch Biggs was still struggling to calm her stormy emotions. The little Wind Elental kid, who was incoherent and difficult to understand, had vanished sowhere. But the kid's words, "Hail Storm Wings," had completely taken her by surprise, especially since the kid had claid it to be her skill. This developnt was just too shocking for her to remain calm. She was rely a Gray Robe Wizard who had recently advanced. How could she possibly master a legendary spell? Sothing must be wrong. No matter what, reality lood before her, and she needed to digest it. She first had to put aside the matter of the Hail Storm Wings and process the matter of the incoherent kid.
Unfortunately, Great Witch Biggs often lacked the power to choose for herself. It had been like this in Gaga County, when climbing Guru Mountain, during the recent encounter on the mountaintop, and now was no different.
She hadn't wanted to get involved in this turmoil, but the opponent had insisted on engaging her. Although she didn't know how she had defeated that annoying guy, the result lay before her now. The three strange n were defeated. They huddled together at the center of the mountaintop, shivering as they chanted so slogan.
Great Witch Biggs looked at the three strange n and shook her head. She was too perplexed by her own state to figure out others. She wanted to continue adjusting to the changes within herself after her advancent, but unfortunately, she never had the choice. Now, she felt another person watching her closely—an all-too-familiar yet malicious gaze that made her uneasy all over. She had felt this kind of gaze before at Dusk Market in Liuli City. Back then, she had no clue how fierce the person behind this gaze was; she was only apprehensive of his status. Now she had learned that the owner of this gaze was not only excellent in combat and rciless in tactics but also harbored another mysterious identity.
This gaze shot over like an arrow, catching Biggs off guard. To avoid being hurt by this arrow, I must brace myself and think of sothing, anything!
Great Witch Biggs instantly reverted to being a humble Divination Witch from Gaga County, respectfully approaching Estev, "Deputy Court Chief, you personally ascended the mountain to handle matters?"
In truth, I'm clueless about why Estev has co. I only perceive that there is sothing mysterious behind him, though I have no idea what it is. And I constantly feel that I, with my status, couldn't possibly be involved in this Deputy Court Chief's activities. All I can do is flatter. Thankfully, I learned a lot about this when I was at Elder Rostellum's manor.
"I didn't expect that your appearance would change after a Wizard's ascension," Estev casually remarked. He had encountered Great Witch Biggs before, be it at Dusk Market in Liuli City or so corner in Gaga County, and he still sowhat rembered Biggs's Spirit Power.
"Well..." Biggs hadn't expected Estev's opening statent to be this, leaving her unsure how to respond.
"I never thought you'd progress in such a short ti. I had always thought that the Great Witch of Gaga County would forever stay in her Divination House," Estev said, putting away his tobacco pipe and shrugging.
"Ah, Deputy Court Chief, I've just been very lucky," Biggs laughed awkwardly. But what she said was true—she had no idea how she had progressed and could only attribute it to luck.
Estev shrugged again. He ca to this mountain to guard a secret, so he didn't want anyone to know his true purpose.
"These three fellows are the infamous Black Crow. They've co to your territory; why didn't you foresee this?"
If Elder Rostellum were here now, he would most definitely be glaring at Great Witch Biggs—this was a reproach.
Perhaps it was a habit ford from long-term service under Elder Rostellum; Witch Biggs began apologizing profusely to Deputy Court Chief Estev, "My lord, it was our oversight, our mistake. I beg your lordship not to bla us."
"Haha, I don't bla you, but I have a slight question. Don't you, Great Witch, feel the sa? Don't you think one of these three n seems a bit familiar?"
"Hmm?" Upon hearing this, Great Witch Biggs quickly glanced at the trio. All three had the faces of strangers... But I feel a faint hint of familiarity from them!
"You...," Great Witch Biggs pointed at Jani, whose Bone Blade had been snapped, her expression thoughtful. "You are Lord Uli, the Housekeeper!"
At this statent, Estev's eyes suddenly lit up, as he instantly rembered the familiar Spirit Power.
"You… you're Biggs?" Jani also found this incredibly strange. The witch who defeated Gus was actually Biggs. This is incredibly strange.
"Yes, it's ."
"How... how did you recognize ?" Jani was astounded. My identity as a Bone Fighter has changed a lot, but for Biggs to still recognize —this is completely shocking.
"Your bronze skin would be recognizable to anyone. After all, you're a foreigner, a Mantai person!" Witch Biggs said softly and unhurriedly.
This... Mugen and Wizard Gus looked at each other. They had initially thought Great Witch Biggs would reveal so astounding magic technique or profound Spirit Sensing, but they hadn't expected her identification thod to be so mundane.
"But this Guru Mountain…" Jani originally wanted to say that with so many people at Guru Mountain, how could she casually identify him, a Mantai? But on second thought, there indeed weren't many foreigners, much less Mantai People, at Guru Mountain.
"I didn't imagine the Black Crow would start infiltrating so soon. You've been a housekeeper in Rostellum's mansion for quite a few years too, haven't you?" Estev tilted his head and looked at the Bone Fighter carefully.
"The leader's plans are beyond your grasp!" Mugen sneered. Even though they had lost, they still wouldn't admit defeat verbally.
"The sa goes for you, Lord Estev," Jani, the Bone Fighter, said. He hadn't accomplished the mission and had been defeated by Estev. Knowing he couldn't resist, he could only resort to quick-witted remarks.
"I was once acquainted with Willem; I do have a certain understanding of him. So I know this is just the beginning. The Black Crow never acts without assurance, right?" Estev had a relaxed expression, as if everything was under his control.
"It's hard to imagine that Lord Uli is actually a Dark Wizard!" A sudden remark by Great Witch Biggs instantly enlivened the originally rigid atmosphere.
Uli, also known as Jani, looked at Great Witch Biggs in confusion, unsure as to why she was so excited.
