The battle at Moonflow Stream continued fiercely.
While only one side was attacking, the evasion tactics of the other were just as captivating. Graceful movents, swift agility…
At this mont, both Kevin and Milo displayed exceptional combat skills, maintaining due caution no matter how the monster attacked them.
They would not cower and run because the enemy was strong, nor would they mock and ridicule a slow-reacting foe. They resisted fiercely, constantly observing. It was not their way to sit and die, nor to rely defend. Their strategy was to seize the chance to counterattack.
Despite the grudges between Alchemy Workshop and Kevin, the coordination between Milo and Kevin was spot-on at this mont. One feinted while the other amassed strength, one attracting attention while the other attacked. Though there were no results yet, it was clear they had reached a consensus: they had to defeat this monster.
They discovered that the monster had three types of attacks.
The first was Corrosive Sli. It would often spray from its body. This was the monster's most common attack, as it seed to involuntarily release the corrosive liquid.
Its second attack thod was the Soundwave Attack, a new power the creature had recently shown. Its usage frequency was second only to Corrosive Sli. The power of its soundwaves was mainly focused on attacking the ears to induce a shared sensation. Uniquely, the monster's Soundwave Attack couldn't be prevented by simply blocking one's ears; the soundwaves could pierce through many defenses. The auditory assault was only one aspect, as the attack primarily aid to induce that disorienting shared sensation. Currently, Milo and Kevin had few thods to counter this attack.
The third attack thod was Black Lightning!
This attack was incredibly powerful. Kevin and Milo had essentially no defense against it and were utterly helpless. They could only desperately dodge, and they had to ti their evasions perfectly, otherwise they wouldn't be quick enough.
However, despite the power of this attack, it had limitations. The monster couldn't manipulate the Black Lightning as freely as its other two attacks. Every ti it used this attack, it seed to need to brew it for a long ti. Apparently, the Black Lightning was not a power it could fully control.
Regrettably, even though Milo and Kevin had observed closely for a long ti while evading, they had discovered nothing beyond the fact that the monster needed a significant interval before using this ability again. They could not find a pattern in its deploynt of Black Lightning. Perhaps this Black Lightning had no pattern at all, appearing entirely at random, as if dependent on the monster's mood.
It was an unsolvable problem; Kevin and Milo were utterly at a loss against this lightning.
But their exceptional combat instincts drove them to ticulously observe the monster's every move as it conjured and unleashed the lightning. No matter how difficult, they were determined to find a pattern or weakness in this lightning attack.
Even if they couldn't discover anything, they had to leave so clues for those coming after them. This would prevent the reinforcents from being at a complete loss upon arrival...
This was a testant to their caliber and their sense of duty. Even if they were to fail, they aid to exhaust the monster's strength. Though they might not defeat it, that didn't an no one could. They were currently buying ti and fighting for others.
It might seem like they were only evading and accomplishing nothing, but their every word and action inspired those who ca after them.
Even the Great ntor was moved by their dauntless resistance. It was a spirit of fearless sacrifice, a spirit of putting others before oneself...
Whether it was Kevin and Milo fighting in plain sight, or Simon and Arnold struggling against Wizard Reed in the shadows, they all displayed utter fearlessness and unwavering resolution...
If it weren't for Kuyi Tulan, the Kayne Empire wouldn't have lost these warriors....
These were other matters; the Great ntor couldn't dwell on them now. He had to focus on his Inner World, or they wouldn't be able to witness these events.
The Great ntor wasn't just concerned about Kevin and Milo at present, but also about Igor and Kadi.
Yes, just a short ti ago, Kadi, Igor, Stan Sol, and that recently awakened youth, Hustace, had rushed off to Moonflow Stream.
They were going to assist Kevin and Milo.
Or rather, they were going to rescue them.
According to them, they weren't entirely sure they could defeat the enemy, but they were confident they could extract Kevin and the others from that bastard's encirclent.
After all, that youth nad Hustace knew how to capture lightning…
The Great ntor was once again impressed by these youngsters...
Now, he observed closely. He wanted to see how Stan Sol could reach Moonflow Stream. To use the Teleportation Spell to such an extent was truly remarkable. The Sol Family mbers were indeed erging from their past gloom; more and more of the younger generation were mastering powerful abilities. A youth like Stan Sol could even use the Teleportation Spell continuously...
Many unthought-of occurrences kept happening on this mountain. The Great ntor could no longer tell: was this mountain too miraculous, or was the world changing too fast?
Though they were staggering, Stan Sol had managed to bring the few young n to Moonflow Stream.
This was thanks to Kadi. The intense aura Kadi carried, stemming from his strong feelings for Kevin, allowed Stan Sol to quickly lock onto Kevin as a target. Although the target was moving swiftly and erratically, Stan Sol still accurately teleported them to Moonflow Stream, though they were still so distance from the true battlefield.
They could see the unspoken understanding Kevin and Milo had reached without any communication, and also the monster's slowly moving body...
Milo's Alchemy Potion mitigated the monster's Corrosive Sli attack. Kevin's Blade Array blocked the monster's Soundwave Attack…
Only the sporadically appearing Black Lightning left them feeling helpless…
"Don't worry, Old Man Kevin, now it's our turn to handle the lightning!" Kadi, long unable to contain his excitent, imdiately sprang up from the ground after wobbling to the location. He crossed his arms over his chest and declared loudly, showing no fear of the monster.
"Huh?" Kevin and Milo exchanged glances, then both turned to look towards the source of the voice behind them.
They saw a One-Eyed Monster standing confidently in the whistling wind.
The monster, however, paid them no heed. With a guttural roar, it unleashed a bolt of lightning.
The lightning was too fast to be seen by the naked eye. With a BANG, it struck the exact spot where Kadi was standing.
"Not good!" Kevin recognized Kadi, but it was a bit too late!
