Just as Tobin said, the ti wasn't long, and throughout the barrier's disappearance, Igor hadn't managed to gather and release a cycle of energy.
Once the barrier vanished, the vast land reappeared before Igor.
He saw several Soul Devourers gnawing at sothing not far ahead, a scene that filled Igor with anger and disgust; he couldn't accept it.
He knew the Soul Devourers were not consuming food but a once whole consciousness... Such a scene he couldn't bear to look at again; he raised his sword and used Nonoa's thod to sever these low-ranked Soul Devourers.
"Not bad, just arrived here and already mastered energy release, and with control too." Shana said with a playful smile, Igor's prowess indeed surprised them. Igor had not been in the Border Realm for long, yet he learned such a complex energy control in such short ti, which was not simple. Although they didn't know what was special about Igor, they could now determine that Igor had a unique talent; otherwise, he wouldn't have been targeted by these creatures and Soul Devourers upon arrival.
"Alright, let's part ways here." Odin hoisted Nonoa, and with Ostro and Torres, found a place to hide, as previously planned. The injured must be taken care of while the others go to confront the Soul Devourers.
"Take good care of Nonoa." Igor said, prepared for what was ahead, his anger needing to be unleashed in the next phase.
"Don't worry, by the ti we return, Nonoa's lingering thoughts will have coalesced." Tobin Sol gently stroked Nonoa's head; he was helping Nonoa capture his lingering thoughts.
"I believe Nonoa's will can help him find himself." One of the Mos Brothers said.
"Enough with the talk, leave Nonoa to Odin and the others, we must start our mission!"
"Indeed!" Igor clenched his fist and looked at Tobin Sol.
"I'll lead the way; I'm quite good at tracking." Sol had now beco the guide, not at all like the leader of the Resistors. According to him, Igor was now the leader, and all command was in Igor's hands.
They parted ways on this vast land, with Odin leading the injured in one direction, and Igor and his team followed Sol to another place.
"Follow this leader's pace, Igor!" One of the Mos Brothers kindly reminded, their carefree nature and sincerity showed they were honest people.
Tobin Sol's speed was indeed faster than Nonoa; Igor barely kept up, leaving no ti for questions as the wind swept by his ears creating a suppression akin to his initial chase by flas upon arriving at the Border Realm.
Igor understood the suppression was due to full-speed advancent; he could only say Tobin's speed was remarkable.
Soon, Igor noticed many hunched figures ahead, those figures were conspicuous without a hint of hiding, clearly in the Border Realm only Soul Devourers had such arrogance. They didn't fear their consciousness collapsing, for as long as they devoured others, their consciousness would return, and if it couldn't, it ant they were not strong enough, suppressed by others. These Soul Devourers lacked self-consciousness, mostly simple beings, with only devouring in their minds and nothing else remained, only when advancing to Interdiate Rank did they possess a self-consciousness. Because they devoured many consciousnesses, they lost their original humanity.
These Soul Devourers only pursued power with obsession...
"These are low-ranked Soul Devourers, you can practice on them and give the devoured a mont of peace." Mos Brothers said again; they easily kept up with Sol's pace. Despite their larger size, they were swift runners...
"Where low-ranked Soul Devourers gather, there must be Interdiate and High-ranked Soul Devourers. With your small fra, be careful not to be devoured!" Shana added, unlike the Mos Brothers, she often preferred sarcasm.
Igor paid little attention to their words, sensing the energy within himself, then according to previous mory, swung his arm and Sword Qi followed!
Those arrogant low-ranked Soul Devourers were shattered by the Sword Qi, a sudden gust like a wind catching the Interdiate Rank Soul Devourers underground off guard. This Interdiate Soul Devourer barely realized what was happening before its head suddenly got hamred, a blow full of strength, shattering the entire Interdiate Soul Devourer without uttering a word!
"That was satisfying!" One of the Mos Brothers exclaid to the sky, his attack technique was pure strength, with his iron hamr as his transford weapon, his massive figure wielded it like magic, so fast Igor couldn't see it clearly.
"No High-ranked here, just one Interdiate; retreat, let's go to the next place." Tobin Sol said, even though he claid not to command, he was indeed commanding, given his strength. These Interdiate critters didn't require him to act; he needed to find a Soul Devourer that could talk, these did not hold much interrogation value.
"Wait! You're moving too fast; shouldn't we interrogate this Soul Devourer?" Igor didn't understand this swift action; he felt the Soul Devourer should be thoroughly interrogated!
"Heh, you don't understand us Resistors, in the Border Realm we are the Soul Devourers' nightmare!" Mos Brother wielding the large blade said.
"He's new, how could he know this; beating a group of Soul Devourers and moving to another place is our style; he wouldn't understand this tactic!" Shana quickly followed Mos Brother's words.
"These Interdiate ones only follow orders; they know little. Our target is High Rank and above." Tobin Sol said, having already planned his approach, yet now needed to cooperate with Igor.
He wanted Igor quickly to grow, knowing Igor's phenonal talent, thus using real combat to train Igor.
Moreover, this process allowed the Resistor team to achieve emotional release.
Tobin had early on communicated his plan through Thunder, rallying all Border Realm Resistors to wield weapons and launch a surprise on Soul Devourers!
