I sat in front of my mirror as I styled my hair, my mind drifting back to York City. How I missed it. The days that followed after Raymond introduced as his girlfriend had been exhausting, truly exhausting. The attention, the whispers, the endless scrutiny; it all weighed heavily on .

Shortly after that incident, Raymond was called to Vegas City by his grandfather to take over the company. Since we had already made plans to relocate my company, we decided to leave together, as the contract stipulated that we had to be there for each other.

It has been two weeks since I arrived in Vegas

City, yet it feels much longer. My life changed drastically the day Raymond introduced to the world as his girlfriend. The internet frenzy it caused was overwhelming. Headlines, speculations, strangers dissecting my life like it belonged to them. My days have been hectic, and privacy has beco a luxury I can no longer afford. A new security guard was added alongside

Sullivan to tighten security around . I am still mostly confined to the house while my company works on employing new staff, so there is little for to do. Raymond has been extrely busy since we arrived, leaving little room for communication between us.

I haven’t heard from my father and his camp of betrayals in almost a month. The silence made believe they had finally decided to give up on causing problems for , and gradually, I found myself forgetting about them. Perhaps peace had decided to settle in, at least for now.

Before leaving York City, I ensured my company was put in order. A new managing director and a general manager were appointed to oversee operations in my absence.

Raymond assisted in acquiring a new building complex for my company here in Vegas City, and a few developnts are already underway. Most of my investors were pleased with the expansion plans and welcod the move enthusiastically, which made my transition to Vegas relatively seamless.

When I finished styling my hair, I leaned back slightly and examined my reflection. Everything was perfect.

I wore a deep red gown designed to enhance my erald eyes, making them appear almost blood-red under the soft lighting, like liquid fire shimring beneath glass.

The dress was floor-length, crafted from smooth satin that clung gently to my curves before cascading down in graceful waves. The fabric shimred subtly with every movent, catching the glow of the chandelier and reflecting it like scattered starlight.

The neckline dipped modestly yet alluringly, framing my collarbones with delicate precision. Thin straps rested lightly on my shoulders, while the back swept low, revealing just enough skin to make a statent without uttering a single word.

My waist was perfectly cinched, accentuating my figure before the skirt flared slightly at the hem, brushing the floor in quiet sophistication.

A subtle slit ran along one side, offering a teasing glimpse of my toned leg with each step I took. I paired the look with champagne-colored YSL heels from the new season collection and a gold clutch purse. Around my neck rested one of my minimal diamond necklaces, complented by matching earrings that sparkled delicately without overpowering the ensemble.

I smiled at my reflection, pleased with my boldness. Today’s outfit was intentional, it was ant to make a statent. Raymond had initially inford about his family dinner. I declined at first because I knew that if his family truly wanted there, they would have extended an invitation themselves.

Besides, this was a contract relationship; there was no need to involve family in sothing built on terms and clauses. Why not sit this one out? I had told myself.

But Raymond, being ever so Raymond, sent a ssage invoking a clause in the contract against . He always found a way to assert control, to remind of the fine print that bound us together.

Well, since Raymond wants to play, then let’s play.

I am done with him setting all the rules. It is ti for a little ga of my own. Maybe after tonight, he will finally learn that I am not soone to be maneuvered so easily. Maybe after this, he will let breathe.

With that thought steadying my resolve, I rose from my seat and made my way downstairs, a small, knowing smile playing on my lips. Raymond’s mansion in Vegas City is nothing short of a castle. The first ti I arrived, I had been completely awed by its grandeur, the towering ceilings, the sweeping staircases, the polished marble floors that reflected the golden light of elaborate chandeliers.

Even now, as I descended the stairs in my red gown, the mansion felt like a stage, and tonight, I was ready to perform.

The mansion was enormous, standing proudly on a large piece of land surrounded by tall, secure walls. A wide, smooth driveway led from the heavy iron gates to the main building. Security guards were always stationed at the gate, checking every vehicle that entered. Caras were fixed around the property, watching every corner day and night.

The building itself was grand and modern, with large glass windows and strong stone pillars.

Inside the mansion, the floors were made of shiny marble, and a huge chandelier hung from the high ceiling in the entrance hall. A wide staircase curved beautifully to the upper floor.

There are about six rooms in the main building, there is a staff quarters, where his staff stays which includes, the housekeeper, his maids, drivers and his security personnel. and many staff mbers worked in the mansion. His butler, which happens to be Bertha, stays in the main building with us.

Security officers patrolled the compound in shifts to ensure safety at all tis. Which I found assured and paranoid

Outside, there was plenty of space. A waterfall, a pool that stretches out like a beach.

A large parking area held several luxury cars, neatly arranged. Not far from the house was a private helipad, an open, flat space specially designed for a helicopter to land safely. Lights surrounded it for night use.

The mansion was not just big; it was organized, secure, and built for comfort and power. It felt like a private world of its own.

By the ti I stepped out of the house, Sullivan was already ready and waiting, flanked by my additional bodyguard, Cyrus.

"Good evening, Ma," they greeted in unison, their voices steady.

"Good evening, gentlen," I responded, a small smile touching my lips. "Shall we?"

Sullivan nodded with a practiced ease and opened the door for . I held my dress delicately and slipped into one of Raymond’s new Maybachs, personally requested by .

The engine roared to life, and as we pulled away, a thrill surged through . Who knew that the mixture of danger and audacity could bring such fulfillnt? The mansion’s grandeur faded behind us as we approached the gate, the car slicing through the evening with effortless power.

Not long after, we arrived at the Black’s ancestral ho. Their wealth spoke volus before one even crossed the threshold. The mansion occupied land that could easily belong to an entire street, perhaps two, complete with a private road leading directly to the gates. Its structure scread old money, tiless, imposing, steeped in legacy. Though Raymond’s mansion was magnificent, and modern, it pale in comparison to the black manor.

I never imagined Lena would co after being invited to dinner. It seed defiance had beco her new signature, and though I admired this daring side of her, I still cherished order. My family had invited

Cynthia to the dinner, which infuriated , but I had to attend out of respect for my grandfather. I hadn’t seen Cynthia since the scandals involving myself and Lena had erupted, as I listened to her ramble all night, my patience began to fray

Then, the sound of heels echoed across the dining room. I looked up, and my jaw dropped, along with everyone else in the room.

Silence fell instantly as Lena appeared at the doorway, her presence was commanding yet graceful. Her deep red gown sparkled in the dimly lit room.

I responded instinctively, my pulse quickening. She pulled back with a smile, radiating both mischief and warmth, before sliding into the seat near . My smile broadened, matching her audacity, proud of my little kitten’s boldness. My mood for the evening imdiately changed.
