Truthfully, Enel is strong.
Very strong.
The Logia-type Rumble-Rumble Fruit is hailed as one of the ’strongest Devil Fruits.’ Furthermore, he has developed the fruit’s abilities to their full potential, making it perfect for offense, defense, speed, and even healing.
Given enough ti, he could sink an entire island with a single, massive attack.
What’s more, he possesses a powerful Observation Haki and uses the electrical waves from his Devil Fruit to enhance its range, allowing him to cover an entire island and strike any person or location from a great distance with his lightning.
Even a Marine Vice Admiral would have a hard ti fighting Enel. As for the veteran elite Vice Admirals, as long as they don’t get close, they could be drained to death by Enel’s relentless, long-range kite attacks.
However, Enel is also weak.
He has many weaknesses.
First, his body’s durability is far from that of the monsters of the Grand Line, and his physical combat skills are terrible. He relies entirely on the unique properties of his Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
Most importantly, Enel’s body is made of electricity. He uses electrical waves to hear people’s conversations with his Observation Haki, an ability that covers the entire island of Skypiea. But he’s a self-taught amateur, and his fundantal use of Observation Haki is poor.
True Observation Haki sharpens all five senses, allowing a person to sense the presence and emotions of living beings around them.
It can also be used to foresee and avoid danger, and in Skypiea, it is called Mantra.
It is a type of mind-reading, or as so might say, the ’power of listening.’ As long as a person is alive, their body emits a special sound that can be used to predict the opponent’s next move and location.
But when fighting Luffy, Enel couldn’t predict Luffy’s evasive movents because he was spacing out. And when Luffy attacked a wall, Enel was unable to predict the trajectory of the ricocheting attack, leading to his defeat. It was pathetic.
So when Enel faces a true powerhouse, he’s useless unless he runs away. He is no match for them. After all, Aeridar holds the title of "Monster of the New World" and is not soone Enel can hope to defeat with just his Devil Fruit ability.
Enel barely managed to stand up with the help of his golden trident, his eyes filled with fear as he stared at Aeridar.
He never imagined soone this powerful existed in the world, soone who could not only hit his lightning body but also severely wound him with a single punch.
Was this monster a god from the Blue Sea?
"Actually, I was here a few years ago. I’m the one who took the Shandians’ gold. You hadn’t arrived yet back then," Aeridar said, landing on the ground and pointing to himself with a smile.
"You’re the monster Gan Fall and the others were talking about?!" Enel’s eyes widened. He had always thought those were exaggerated stories, but now he knew the truth: this man was a monster even more powerful than a god.
"It seems they still rember . Hahahaha!" Aeridar grinned widely.
Enel’s eyelid twitched. He was completely speechless.
A man who single-handedly defeated the previous god, occupied all of Angel Island and Upper Yard with his crew, and then single-handedly beat the entire Shandian tribe and stole half of Skypiea’s gold with his crew.
Of course, they’d rember him.
"What do you want? Do you want gold?" Enel wiped the blood from his mouth and asked, his expression grim.
"No!"
Aeridar raised his index finger and shook it. Then he pointed at Enel. "I want you!"
"..." Enel looked at Aeridar with a strange expression. What the hell does this guy want with ?
"Cough, cough, cough..." Aeridar realized what he had said and quickly clarified. "I an, I want you to join my crew. I’ll take you to see how vast this world is and show you all the monsters on the sea below."
In other words, Aeridar wanted to recruit Enel, an individual with imnse potential. A Logia-type Rumble-Rumble Fruit user who has trained properly could easily beco a monster on par with a Marine Admiral.
It would be a waste to let a talent with this much potential just drift around.
"Huh? Join your crew?"
Enel was stunned for a mont before he understood what was being said.
"You want to be your subordinate, you bastard?! What do you think I am?! I am ’God’! The almighty ’God’!" Enel roared in rage, his body flaring with lightning. "Just because your physical attacks affected , don’t think you’ve won! A mortal can never defeat ’God’! You cannot defeat !"
Rumble!
As soon as he finished speaking, Enel’s left hand transford into a two-ter-wide pillar of lightning, which he unleashed with a roar.
"Hmph. You’re a stubborn one. Then I’ll just have to beat so sense into you!"
Aeridar snorted at Enel’s unwillingness to admit defeat and countered with a three-punch combo.
Whoosh!
The air beca chaotic, forming a massive shockwave that erupted forward.
Boom!
Rumble!
The shockwave and the lightning pillar instantly collided. Blinding flashes of lightning and a brilliant white aura erupted, followed by an earth-shattering explosion. Arcs of electricity slithered through the air, charring the surrounding trees. Turbulent air currents ford a powerful wind that tore through the forest, bending over the small trees within a hundred-ter radius.
"Go! Get out of here!"
"This isn’t a fight we can get involved in!"
"Who is that guy? How can he be so powerful?!"
"Damn it, I thought all Blue Sea dwellers were weak!"
The Four Priests, who were not far away, struggled against the hurricane-like winds. When a lightning bolt destroyed a tree next to them, they were terrified and quickly fled.

Seeing that his attack was useless, Enel disappeared from his spot in a flash of lightning.
The next mont, Enel reappeared above Aeridar and thrust his golden trident downward. But even with Enel’s lightning speed, Aeridar was not far behind. Especially after learning Kuma’s instant teleportation, he was among the fastest in the world.

Enel’s trident missed, burying itself into the ground where Aeridar had just been. At the sa ti, the two had switched places, and Aeridar was now above Enel.
Aeridar’s face was expressionless as he slamd his fist down. The air whistled before his fist even landed.
"This is bad!"
Enel reacted quickly, grabbing his golden trident and rolling to the side.

Aeridar’s punch landed, and the ground trembled. The terrifying force created a massive crater, and the sheer power of the blow sent out a shockwave that covered the ground around the crater in a dense web of cracks.
