"What do you want, you lot?!" Kaido had just landed, his body still dripping with water, when he saw a group of ferocious beasts erge from the forest ahead. Many of them were comparable in size to him, glaring at him nacingly.
’A bunch of beasts.’ Kaido silently appraised them. After taking a deep breath, he roared, "Get out of my way... NOW!!"
His roar unleashed a gale so powerful it nearly snapped the massive trees in the forest. The animals, terrified by Kaido’s imnse power, scattered and fled.
Deep in the jungle, Alucard felt the gale, his coat and hair whipping wildly. He rose and slowly walked towards the direction from which the gale had erupted.
As for the Zoan-type Devil Fruit he’d found, he wasn’t sure what to do with it, so he casually picked it up and carried it with him.
"Boring. I should go find soone for a good old brawl," Kaido muttered to himself after taking out the gourd tied to his belt and gulping down so sake. "Whose territory is closest to here? Old Man Whitebeard’s, or that Golden Lion’s fleet?"
"Wrong. This is my territory now." A voice reached Kaido. He turned to see a young man he’d never encountered before erging from the jungle.
However, Kaido’s focus wasn’t on Alucard himself, but on the object in his hand: that banana-shaped Devil Fruit.
Kaido was all too familiar with such things, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit!
Even though the original story was still a long way off, Kaido had long harbored the ambition of building the strongest pirate army comprised entirely of Devil Fruit users. He always seized Devil Fruits whenever he saw them, especially Zoan-types, which he was determined to acquire.
"Brat, give that Devil Fruit!" Kaido didn’t ask Alucard’s na; he went straight to his objective. Why should a giant ask for an ant’s na? This was Kaido’s mindset.
"Kaido... of the Beasts." Alucard uttered Kaido’s na. Even before the Great Pirate Era, Kaido was already a world-renowned pirate.
"That’s . Hand it over," Kaido repeated. "If you do, I might consider letting you be my subordinate."
Alucard’s lips curled into a grin. He lifted the Zoan-type Devil Fruit in his hand, dangling it in front of Kaido. "You want this?"
Kaido frowned, his patience wearing thin. He was about to step forward and simply eliminate Alucard to take the fruit, but unexpectedly, Alucard was a step ahead.
He tossed the Devil Fruit into the sky. Kaido instinctively reached out to catch it, but Alucard was even faster, pulling a gun from his coat and firing. With a whoosh, the Devil Fruit was shot into pieces.
"Now, how are you going to get it?" Alucard asked with a sinister grin.
After a mont of silence, Kaido, surprisingly, began to weep loudly, snot and tears streaming down his face as he roared, "Waaah! My chance to add another Devil Fruit user to my crew! It’s gone, just like that!"
"Huh?" Alucard tilted his head in confusion. ’Is this really Kaido of the Beasts’ personality?’
However, before Kaido’s sobbing could stop, a massive fist suddenly slamd into Alucard, catching him off guard and sending him flying into the jungle behind them.
After smashing through several large sea rocks and snapping countless trees, Alucard’s body finally ca to a halt. He was covered in comminuted fractures, half-lying amidst the tangled trees.
anwhile, Kaido’s crying hadn’t stopped. Wiping his nose with his other hand, he wailed, "Damn it, I finally found a Zoan-type! And it’s gone!" He turned to walk away, still crying, but the instant he turned, Kaido’s expression shifted again. He snarled, "My mood’s ruined! Damn it! I’ll go challenge that old man Whitebeard instead!"
BANG BANG BANG BANG!
Hearing gunshots from behind, Kaido suddenly spun around. Several bullets struck his face the mont he turned, leaving only faint bloodstains before falling to the ground, completely twisted.
Alucard was already standing behind Kaido, completely unhard, clearing the casings from Casull. With interest, he said, "Oh, what tough skin. Are you a cyborg?"
"Ohh~" Kaido’s impression of Alucard instantly changed. The corners of his mouth turned up, revealing his teeth. "Looks like you’re no ordinary kid. Using you as an appetizer before fighting Whitebeard sounds good!"
"This appetizer isn’t very sweet." Alucard touched the brim of his top hat with the barrel of his white gun, Casull. "It’s poisonous."
"Who the hell do you think I am?!" Kaido crouched low, instantly closing the distance with Alucard. With a furious roar, he terrified all the animals on Baizinbur, making them freeze. "I am Kaido of the Beasts!!!"
"Hehehe..."
Alucard’s shoulders trembled. The shadow beneath his feet rapidly spread, covering the entire beach. He removed his sunglasses, and countless shadowy hands began to erge from the darkness.
Unbeknownst to them, the previously clear sky had gradually beco covered by dark clouds, thunder rumbling ominously within them.
"Alright, hurry up and attack! Kaido of the Beasts!"
"Brat!!" Kaido’s face showed excitent. He launched a punch capable of shattering mountains, its re fist the size of a normal person.
"Haaahh!" Alucard roared, eting the attack with a hand blade. Their first clash t in mid-air, and a shocking bolt of lightning struck from the sky, seemingly announcing the beginning of this battle.
