One Piece: Alucard the Immortal Chapter 27: Government Attention

Vegapunk, the genius scientist, was arrested by the World Governnt after his research into "Lineage Factor" was discovered.

However, his imnse talent so impressed the Governnt that instead of imprisoning him, they sent him to the Marine Headquarters’ scientific research team. There, Vegapunk gained everything he desired: any experintal materials, research funds, the Governnt would procure them for him and provide almost limitless funding for his experints.

Today, while he was conducting research, the lab door suddenly burst open. Vegapunk unpleasantly turned his head, surprised to see Governnt agents. But as a genius scientist, Vegapunk didn’t grovel before the World Governnt’s intimidation. Instead, he spoke with extre displeasure, "What do you want? The results for this research project aren’t due for another two months, are they?"

"Vegapunk, put your current experint aside for a mont. Right now, we need you to study this." An agent in a black suit pulled out a sealed bag from within his jacket. Inside was a piece of bloody flesh, unclear whether it belonged to an animal or a human.

"What is that thing?" Vegapunk frowned. At first glance, it resembled neither animal nor human flesh. What it truly was would likely only be fully known after the analysis results ca in.

"Don’t concern yourself with that for now. Just focus on researching this thoroughly."

The agent placed the item on the table and left with his subordinates.

Although Vegapunk was currently the genius scientist of Marine Headquarters, he was still under supervision, and his authority was far from what it would beco later, when Luffy set sail.

At present, Vegapunk basically did whatever the Governnt ordered him to.

Vegapunk carefully extracted the blood clot, taking a tiny sample of blood and placing it under a microscope for observation. What he saw made him freeze.

"Yes, sir. This was obtained from the Marine branch in the North Blue’s Harald Kingdom by Lieutenant Commander Florence. It was being used in experints by King Harald Cnut. After extensive investigation, it’s confird that Dracula D. Alucard used so special thod to transform Nelson Cahill, the general of the enemy Joris Kingdom, into this monster. Cnut then intended to research this thing to create an Undying Army."

A Marine Rear Admiral stood at Sengoku’s desk, providing a detailed report.

"Transford into a monster... It reminds of that project Vegapunk and Vinsmoke Judge researched previously. I didn’t expect sothing like this to appear so soon."

Sengoku crossed his hands and rested them on his jaw. Since Alucard hadn’t yet done anything against the Marines or the Governnt, a bounty poster hadn’t been issued for him yet. However, his level of danger was gradually drawing the Governnt’s serious attention.

"What actions has the Governnt taken?" Sengoku asked.

"Most of the corpse has been preserved and handed over to the genius scientist, Vegapunk, for research. Further actions are pending discussion," the Rear Admiral quickly replied.

"What about Dracula D. Alucard’s latest movents?" Sengoku asked again.

"He has currently entered the Grand Line. Based on his route, it should be this one."

The Rear Admiral pointed to one of the seven routes that branched out from the Grand Line’s entrance. The Grand Line’s entrance was divided, with a total of seven routes. Once a route was chosen, it generally wouldn’t change until reaching the end of the first half, the Sabaody Archipelago.

"Distribute his photo. Even if he hasn’t been officially wanted, make sure the soldiers are vigilant," Sengoku said gravely.

"Yes, sir! I’ll see to it imdiately!"

The Rear Admiral saluted Sengoku, took the piece of flesh, which he still needed to deliver back to the research departnt.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

A series of hurried footsteps approached. Another Rear Admiral burst into Sengoku’s office and reported, "Admiral! Golden Lion Shiki has entered the New World! Request imdiate deploynt of forces for his capture!"

Sengoku slamd his hand on the desk, roaring in anger, "Those troubleso pirate bastards!"

At this mont, Alucard had only just begun to attract attention. The world of pirates was still dominated by the headlines of Roger, Whitebeard, and Golden Lion Shiki.
