Most likely, after the events on Sabaody Archipelago, where he set up Roger and Borsalino, Roger inadvertently leaked so information during their engagent. This was discovered by attentive Marines, then reported to high-ranking officials at Marine Headquarters.
Tsuru, known for being the brains of the Marines, inferred from the conversation that Alucard had already left Sabaody Archipelago and was about to arrive in the New World.
Overall, the reason his whereabouts were leaked, besides Tsuru’s exceptionally high intellect, was because Roger had a loose tongue.
However, according to Tsuru’s deduction, they should have dispatched stronger Marines to capture him, not just a fleet led by a Rear Admiral.
There were two reasons for this: one, Alucard arrived very quickly, leaving no ti to imdiately deploy more forces. Two, the personnel were dispersed; the Marines had several warships deployed, and Alucard just happened to run into Delasol’s.

Alucard turned to look. There was still another warship with unresolved personnel, containing over a thousand Marines.
"Seriously, let’s finish this quickly. I don’t enjoy ’musou’ gas," Alucard muttered, saying sothing that the surrounding Marines didn’t quite understand, as he swiftly charged into the main Marine force.
The continuous gunfire and battle roared to life. The Marines were learning to fight Alucard smarter. Even if they couldn’t defeat him imdiately, they wouldn’t allow their soldiers to be sacrificed in vain.
For example, when they first saw his transformation into bats, Delasol’s soldiers imdiately reported this information to Headquarters.

Alucard was swiftly slaughtering on one of the two Marine warships, while the Marines on the other ship weren’t rushing to jump over and confront Alucard.

The intelligence soldiers continuously reported Alucard’s techniques and abilities to their superiors.
After Alucard had eliminated the vast majority of them, very few Marines remained on the other warship. The highest-ranking remaining Marine was only a Captain. Seeing that the tide had turned and capturing Alucard was no longer possible, the Captain quickly yelled, "Retreat, retreat!"
Alucard stood at the bow of the other warship, holding Casull upright and Jackal horizontally, forming a cross with his two guns. He aid at the stern of the opposing warship, a slight smirk on his lips. "No need to rush off..."

Both guns fired. Alucard was already very familiar with the structure of warships. With a single shot, he destroyed the ship’s main propulsion. He didn’t know the layout of the New World branches, but it would be quite difficult for that ship to successfully sail to the next island.
BOOM!
Suddenly, a more muffled thunder roared from the sky, followed by a torrential downpour. Several seconds later, Alucard felt an uncomfortable sensation on his skin. It was... acid rain!
"Heh, this weather is quite annoying too."
Alucard transford back into bats and flew back to his ship. At the sa ti, the system notified him of the increase in his abilities after this battle.
